2018 Coolmore Legacy Stakes Form Guide & Tips
Daysee Doom ($9) – BET NOW
Daysee Doom is a class act which could get a soft lead during the run.
If she gets her own way up front it could be all over but drawing barrier 17 is going to make it hard for her to cross the field.
Chance at nice odds.
Foxplay (Best Each Way – $11) – BET NOW
Chris Waller lines up Foxplay which is struggling to find her best, but her best would be good enough to win.
She finished fourth in a blanket finish last start behind Prompt Response and she made good ground in the worst part of the track.
$11 is overs and punters should get a good sight with Foxplay.
Dixie Blossoms ($5.50) – BET NOW
Loves this track with four wins from eight starts and only the wide draw concerns here.
She has drawn barrier 16 which will force her to settle back and she will need to make up big ground in the straight.
That’s possible down the Randwick straight and we wouldn’t leave her out of our top four picks.
Prompt Response ($8.50) – BET NOW
Defeated a similar field when taking out the Emancipation Stakes last start and that form is going to hold up well.
Doesn’t usually string wins together but she’s a talented four-year-old which puts herself into the race and she should get every chance from the draw.
Silent Sedition ($6.50) – BET NOW
Was close to being put on top here and punters should seriously consider having an each way bet on this classy Victorian.
The Andrew Noblet-trained mare has won seven of her 23 starts and the quality runner trialled beautifully for this run.
She will land near the speed and show her customary kick in the straight.
Heavens Above (Best Roughie – $20) – BET NOW
Big money has come for Heavens Above at nice odds.
The Tim Martin-trained mare has been backed in from $23 to $15 and she never had much luck last start but still managed to finish within two lengths of the leaders.
She has drawn well and she represents good value in the market.
Spanish Reef ($9) – BET NOW
There has been a steady flow of money for Spanish Reef, which comes over from Melbourne with winning form.
The Ken Keys-trained runner has won her last three starts and although not at Group 1 level, she looks like a potential rising star.
This will be her biggest test of her career and there has been good backing for her.
Zanbagh ($71) – BET NOW
Knows how to cause an upset but it’s not in the same vein of form as she used to be.
Oregon’s Day (Best Bet – $14) – BET NOW
Has run three consecutive second placings with the most recent coming behind Prompt Response and there’s a big win in store soon.
The Mick Price-trained mare has been showing signs of breaking through for a big win for a while now and if she can find some cover during the run, she should be able to show off her good turn-of-foot.
$15 is over the odds and she should go close.
Payroll ($17) – BET NOW
The Richard Laming stable loves a bet and Payroll has been well-backed here.
She has firmed in from $23 to $17 and she should get every chance from the inside draw but she will need the rail to open up at some stage.
Abbey Marie ($21) – BET NOW
Has been a touch flat in two runs back from a spell and she would need to find another couple of lengths to figure here.
Aide Memoire ($27) – BET NOW
Hasn’t quite shown her best form since joining the Kris Lees stables from New Zealand and she needs a heavy track to show her best.
Eckstein ($19) – BET NOW
We have given Eckstein plenty of chances to find form this campaign but the former Highway Handicap runner might be better suited to something easier.
She would need to be better weighted to have a chance at winning at Group 1 level.
Samovare ($23) – BET NOW
Three consecutive second placings for the Victorian which has yet to face this sort of opposition and find any sort of form.
Unlikely to be winning here.
Perfect Rhyme ($91) – BET NOW
Needs to lift and it’s tough to see her recent form being good enough for this.
Nettoyer ($46) – BET NOW
Needed all four runs back this campaign and she could show some fight at long odds.
Has won only one race and she would be a contender with a lighter weight but the 57kg doesn’t help her chances.
Alizee ($9) – BET NOW
The only filly in the field and she gets the weight advantage.
Only battled in the Vinery Stud Stakes but that might be a better form guide than most in this field.
Interesting runner which could easily towel them up in the straight.
