We have expert betting tips for the card this Saturday at Doomben that features nine quality betting races.

Doomben horse racing tips

Race 1. (11:43) Tab Venue Mode Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Ahooshu @ $3.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The two-year-old hasn’t done much wrong in three starts to date, including a win and two second placings.

He is a well-bred son of More Than Ready that was beaten only a half-length at Gold Coast last time out. It’s a good form guide and it came behind the talented Sweet Dolly.

$3.70 is a great price.

Race 2. (12:18) Barrie Greenup Memorial Handicap (2020m)

#2 – Humbolt Current @ $2.45 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Humbolt Current was too good for them at Doomben last start and he could repeat the dose on Saturday.

The six-year-old gelding is unbeaten from three starts on this track and he is a four-time winner over this distance.

The statistics don’t get much better and we thought he would be an odds-on chance.

Race 3. (12:53) Stradbroke Season on Sale BM90 (1615m)

#3 – Kubrick @ $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Kubrick went close behind Walking Flying last start and we’re expecting that form to stack up nicely at this level.

The four-year-old gelding should appreciate this level of opposition and he only needs his confidence back, so expect a big effort here.

Punters get value odds for this race. He should give a good sight.

Race 4. (13:28) Qld Guineas Day 1 May BM78 (1200m)

#13 – Amiche @ $2.10 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Amiche is a professional type that owns four wins and three placings from eight career starts.

The four-year-old daughter of Nicconi gets a lovely weight of 55.5kg and she will be tough to beat from there.

Stakes racing is in her future and this field shouldn’t test her too much.

Race 5. (14:03) Doomben 10,000 Day BM72 (1615m)

#8 – Mosshiki @ $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Mosshiki is only a two-race winner but the four-year-old is capable of getting the chocolates on Saturday.

The son of Mossman should appreciate the conditions and he looked good running second at Doomben last time out. That form bodes well and the $6 is well worth taking.

Race 6. (14:42) Doomben Cup Day Handicap (1615m)

#11 – Deal of Power @ $13 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Deal of Power comes off a maiden win at Gold Coast and although facing harder opposition, she could be a progressive type.

The three-year-old daughter of Dundeel won by 1.8 lengths last start and she handled the wet conditions with distinction.

$13 is well worth the risk.

Race 7. (15:27) Derby Day May Handicap (1050m)

#4 – Pinnacle Prince @ $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Winning form is with Pinnacle Prince, which owns three wins and a second placing from just four career starts.

The Brett Cavanough-trained colt comes off a win at Randwick in the Highway Handicap series and we like that form in Queensland.

He handles wet tracks and at $3.30, he is one of the better bets on the card.

Race 8. (16:07) Oaks Day June Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Jadentom @ $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Jadentom is a professional 13-time winner from 30 starts and she defeated a quality field at Gold Coast last time out.

The seven-year-old owns three wins on this track and six at this distance, so there isn’t much going against her on Saturday.

Barrier four is ideal and punters can lock in value odds.

Race 9. (16:43) Stradbroke Day June C6 Handicap (1350m)

#6 – Kedah @ $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Kedah ran fourth at Eagle Farm last time out and she will improve with that run under her belt.

The five-year-old mare owns a win and placing at Doomben and she has had no trouble handling wet tracks in the past.

Barrier three is ideal and we’re expecting a nice effort.
