The six-year-old son of Sidestep is a three-time winner from 23 starts, and he’s never too far away when running second-up.

Black Eyed Blonde is loving her work this preparation after posting three wins, including a quality victory at Mackay last time out.

The five-year-old mare faces a rise in class on Saturday, but she’s a free-running type, and she could settle handy and give punters a sight.

Carrying 52kg will feel like a luxury, and we’re not surprised by the money coming for her.

Punters get value odds for Riez Souvent, who is already a two-time winner this preparation, so the form should hold up.

The Chris Waller-trained gelding owns two wins and three placings from nine starts, including a placing at Doomben.

He is worth including in picks at the current odds.
