Doomben free tips & form
Race 1. (13:37) Tropical Fresh Handicap (2200m)
#3 – Follow Suit @ $3.80 – BET NOW
Chris Waller lines up the five-time winner which ran two lengths behind Capital Gain last start and that form should stack up nicely.
Jeff Lloyd is in the saddle which is a big bonus and with Sydney form coming into this, he must be one of the best-performed runners in this field.
Race 2. (14:12) QLD Chinese Jockey Club Plate (1100m)
#5 – Vincere Volare @ $1.38 – BET NOW
This is nothing but a multi-bet builder as the debut winner should be giving them another galloping lesson here.
The Tony Gollan-trained two-year-old scored by 4.8 lengths on debut at Doomben and she has yet to lose a trial from three attempts.
No thanks to the odds but she will boost multi payouts.
Race 3. (14:47) Asian Plus Handicap (1600m)
#3 – Bratislava @ $5.50 – BET NOW
Brad Witt lines up the five-year-old gelding has won six from 19 starts and is rarely too far away from the prize.
He comes into this with a recent win at Doomben and although there wasn’t much of a winning margin, he still has plenty of upside.
54kg helps and he could be one at each-way odds.
Race 4. (15:22) Keiba Asiatic BM70 (1600m)
#3 – Takings @ $5 – BET NOW
Just continues winning after posting four in a row and that was a tough effort last time out at Ipswich.
He’s a six-year-old gelding which has found a new lease on life and considering punters had to take $2.30 last start, the $5 on offer is a great quote from bookmakers.
Gets some weight relief and it will be in the mix for a long time.
Race 5. (16:02) Tropical Fresh C3 Plate (1100m)
#11 – Shalwa @ $1.80 – BET NOW
Dropped in grade and scored with ease last start at Ipswich. The six-length romp was an indication of how much easier running in Queensland is compared to Victoria, where she had been running solid races without winning.
The daughter of O’Reilly looks well-placed to get the job done again at short odds.
Race 6. (16:42) H & T Handicap (1200m)
#1 – Macewen @ $3 – BET NOW
Was sent out way over the odds last time out when winning at $7.50 and punters are getting shorter odds this time around.
The Tony Gollan-trained gelding has now rattled off three consecutive wins and although facing another test here, he looks well placed and ready to win again.
Race 7. (17:22) Chinese Jockey Club Handicap (1200m)
#1 – Meet Mr Taylor @ $1.85 – BET NOW
Another short-priced favourite but deservingly so after winning his first five starts to the races.
Trained by Kelly Schweida, the four-year-old gelding scored by 5.5 lengths two back at Doomben before repeating the dose and winning by two lengths last start.
He appears to be bullet proof and he only needs luck from the wide draw.
Race 8. (18:00) Asian Plus C6 Plate (1350m)
#4 – Impasse @ $4.80 – BET NOW
Has had his chances his last couple of starts at Doomben but punters should look at his form prior. That included a two-length win at Doomben and a win at Sunshine Coast.
He might not have the best credentials coming into this race but he has plenty of ability and just needs some luck in running. Should get thathere and be tough to beat.
Race 9. (18:35) Tab Handicap (1100m)
#5 – Spurcraft @ $2.75 – BET NOW
Knows how to win having scored seven wins from 11 starts and that’s good enough to see him go on top here.
The five-year-old son on Jet Spur was too slick for them at Sunshine Coast last start and prior to that he scored wins at Doomben, Gold Coast and Ipswich.
Punters are getting a consistent type and he’s worth including at the short odds.
