Doomben horse racing tips & form

Race 1. (13:34) Sky Racing BM68 (1050m)

#8 – Self Indulgent – Bet @ Sportsbet

Self Indulgent scored a win on debut at Doomben before going close enough in a tough race at Doomben.

The three-year-old daughter of Foxwedge might have needed the run after being fresh up and with only 54.5kg on her back, she is our top pick.

Look for a betting push on race day.

Race 2. (14:09) XXXX Dry Maiden (1050m)

#4 – The Burger – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Burger wasn’t far away on debut at Sunshine Coast before running well for second at Ipswich.

The four-year-old son of Mahisara was 3.3 lengths behind the winner over 800m, but rising in distance is only going to help.

Punters should get each-way odds on race day.

Race 3. (14:44) Girls Day Out Maiden (1200m)

#6 – Star Gamble – Bet @ Sportsbet

Star Gamble comes off a second placing at Doomben and he has been primed with a trial placing at Deagon.

The three-year-old son of Snitzel has been well-supported in both race day starts, so we expect plenty of confidence in the betting again.

He should enjoy the 2kg coming off his back and we like his chances.

Race 4. (15:19) Mount Franklin BM75 (2050m)

#1 – Stuck with You – Bet @ Sportsbet

Stuck with You turned his form around smartly with a 1.5-length win at Doomben last time out.

The New Zealand-bred son of Roc de Cambes showed a fine turn-of-foot in reeling in the field, so a repeat could be on the cards.

Dropping to 57kg only helps his cause and given the quality of this field, punters could get each-way odds on race day.

Race 5. (15:54) Aqwa Construction BM75 (1110m)

#5 – Toorooloo – Bet @ Sportsbet

Toorooloo owns four wins from eight starts and we can’t be leaving her out of selections.

The four-year-old daughter of Tycoon Ruler won fresh up at Sunshine Coast before running fifth at Doomben, which was better than it looked.

Two of her four wins have come at this track, so punters should be confident.

Race 6. (16:29) Trapeze Artist Yearlings C1 (1650m)

#4 – Kerchak – Bet @ Sportsbet

David Vandyke lines up the three-year-old gelding who looks to double down on a recent win at Ipswich.

The son of Tarzino scored by 4.3 lengths in a dominant display at odds of $1.30, so punters should expect short odds on Wednesday.

Having Ryan Maloney in the saddle is ideal and punters should be confident of another winning performance.

Race 7. (17:07) Encryption First Yearlings C2 (1350m)

#13 – Mystic Aroma – Bet @ Sportsbet

Mystic Aroma was good enough to win back-to-back races earlier this preparation before running fifth last time out.

The three-year-old filly won by 2.5 lengths at Sunshine Coast and she was only 3.2 lengths behind the winner at Doomben.

It’s good form and carrying 54kg is ideal.

Race 8. (17:45) Tab Venue Mode BM65 (1200m)

#2 – Aluf – Bet @ Sportsbet

Aluf has been a model of consistency with 22 placings and seven wins from 56 starts, so he’s always worth backing.

His recent form has been steady with three second placings from his last four starts, which is good enough form at this level.

Punters should get each-way odds on race day.
