Doomben horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (12:33) Tab Long May We Play C2 Handicap (1350m)
#1 – Luskin Hero – Bet Now
Luskin Hero defeated a similar field on debut at Ipswich and he could remain unbeaten.
The two-year-old sat close to the speed and kicked away for a one-length win. He won’t need to improve much to take this out and he should be well favoured.
Race 2. (13:08) Whisper Maiden Handicap (1640m)
#3 – Kaaydeh – Bet Now
Chris Anderson lines up the three-year-old filly that is getting close to a win. She finished third at Ipswich last start and running at Doomben should only help her chances.
She is a filly by Dream Ahead that has placed in three from four this preparation. It is good form for this race and we wouldn’t look past her chances.
Punters should get value odds.
Race 3. (13:43) Mitavite Maiden (1350m)
#1 – Keen On Gold – Bet Now
Keen On Gold has placed in four from eight starts and he is a three-year-old with ability.
The Steven O’Dea-trained son of Dream Ahead ran a nose behind the winner at Ipswich and that will be a good form guide.
Getting the inside draw is ideal and he gets some weight off his back to help.
Race 4. (14:18) Tab Long May We Play Maiden (1350m)
#9 – Henley Miss – Bet Now
Henley Miss isn’t the most consistent runner but she has ability and could pay a nice price to win this race.
The three-year-old by Spirit of Boom finished fourth at Ballarat last start and switching to Queensland racing should help.
She gets the inside draw and an improved effort is likely.
Race 5. (14:53) Events at BTC R68 Handicap (2040m)
#1 – Fairy Me Home – Bet Now
Fairy Me Home drops right back in grade for this race and that should see his form improve. He has been in good form without winning, but is due a winning turn.
Trained by Chris Waller, the four-year-old has placed in 10 of his 20 starts, which also includes two wins.
Doomben suits and he should be right in the thick of the finish.
Race 6. (15:28) BRC Membership Renewal C3 (1640m)
#1 – Staying Black – Bet Now
Staying Black built towards the win last time out at Sunshine Coast and he looks set to kick on with it.
The Stuart Kendrick-trained four-year-old has finished in the money in 12 of his 17 starts and he should go close here.
He has placed in both starts at Doomben and we’re confident of his chances.
Race 7. (16:03) The Village Kitchen BM70 (1200m)
#11 – Schweid As – Bet Now
The Kelly Schweida-trained three-year-old has finished in the money in all four starts, so he is a consistent type.
He finished third at Ipswich last time out and although lengths from the winner, he only has room to improve.
Drawing barrier four is ideal and he looks tough to beat from there.
Race 8. (16:38) Canadian Club C2 Plate (1350m)
#4 – Stuck With You – Bet Now
Stuck With You has won and placed from two starts to date and he is a capable type.
The Matthew Dunn-trained gelding won at Murwillumbah on debut before finishing second at Grafton last time out.
Getting the inside draw is ideal and his second career win should come shortly.
