Race 1. (12:25) Yulong Handicap (1000m)

#1 – Maozi – Bet Now

Having race experience in this grade is going to help the Snowden-trained filly which has a win and two placings from four starts.

A daughter of Helmut, the two-year-old was a winner at Geelong second up before running two solid races in the city.

One of those was a quality placing at Flemington behind Free of Debt, which subsequently ran well at the top grade. That’s a good form guide and it should go well in this grade.

Race 2. (13:00) Long Fine Plate (2400m)

#2 – Skyway Star – Bet Now

Skyway Star has been a little disappointing her last few races but the talent is there and she could rebound.

The Wilde-trained three-year-old looked much better earlier on this season when winning at Ballarat. That 2.3-length win was followed by a placing on this track and she’s dropping in grade from her last start.

Craig Williams rides and that could be enough to turn the tables.

Race 3. (13:35) Blue Star Print BM78 (2400m)

#5 – Mirimar – Bet Now

The Mike Moroney stables is kicking home plenty of recent winners and Mirimar could go back-to-back in this.

He’s a five-year-old gelding which has finished in the money in 10 of his 19 starts and he handled the wet conditions well last time out. That win came by one length and with the apprentice claimer in the saddle, he should go well again.

Likely to be at each-way odds so include here.

Race 4. (14:10) Clanbrooke Racing BM70 (1600m)

#4 – Kiss And Cry – Bet Now

Looking for her third consecutive win is Kiss And Cry, which scored easily by 2.5 lengths last time out.

The Mick Kent-trained daughter of Dundeel broke maiden grades when winning by 1.5 lengths at Seymour and to rise in grade and score again is a good form guide.

Drawn well here and punters should be expecting another tidy effort.

Race 5. (14:45) Le Pine Funerals BM64 (1800m)

#4 – Visao – Bet Now

This isn’t an easy field but Visao could turn his form around and score a long overdue win.

The Maher/Eustace-trained three-year-old is a two-time winner from 13 starts, which hasn’t scored at his last nine attempts. Still, he has some quality placings to his name and that could shine through here.

Gets some weight off his back and only needs a good ride from Teo Nugent to be right in the thick of the action.

Race 6. (15:20) Ladbrokes Back Yourself BM70 (1000m)

#7 – Atheleisia – Bet Now

The Kent-trained three-year-old was a one-length winner on debut before running an unlucky sixth second up.

She didn’t have all luck in the running against a tough field and she should find this much easier.

Punters are likely to get a good price for the daughter of Artie Schiller in the betting and that’s worth backing her.

Race 7. (15:55) Krudler Thanks Beamer BM70 (1300m)

#6 – Vitani – Bet Now

Wendy Kelly lines up the four-year-old mare which has won or placed in eight of her 10 career starts.

The mare by Animal Kingdom is coming off a third placing at Caulfield in stronger company and it’s good to see Craig Williams sticking with her.

There won’t be much between this field and from barrier four, expect Vitani to be right around the mark.

Race 8. (16:30) Ladbrokes Odds Boost BM78 (1400m)

#12 – Evil Cry – Bet Now

Evil Cry rises right up in grade for this but drops nicely in weight to 54kg and Craig Williams takes the ride.

The Robbie Laing-trained four-year-old is only a three-time winner from 21 starts but getting the inside draw is only going to help his chances.

Bookmakers should be offering good odds and it could pay to stick with him.
