Doomben horse racing tips & form

Race 1. (12:33) Mekka Races on Sale Now Maiden (1200m)

#10 – Super Sweet – Bet @ PlayUp

Super Sweet didn’t fire on debut at Gold Coast but she quicky improved to run third at Ipswich on a heavy track last start.

She was only a length behind the winner last start and we’re not sure she has enjoyed running on heavy surfaces, so the slightly better track helps.

Punters should get each-way odds on race day.

Race 2. (13:08) Sky Racing BM72 (2070m)

#7 – Khaalis – Bet @ PlayUp

Khaalis owns two placings this preparation and the Chris Waller-trained gelding looks ready to win.

The five-year-old gelding is a past winner at Doomben and dropping to 54.5kg makes him very tough to beat.

It’s not an overly tough field and he could take advantage.

Race 3. (13:43) Cascade Maiden Handicap (1660m)

#1 – Noble Cat – Bet @ PlayUp

Noble Cat ran second on debut at Ipswich and the four-year-old gelding could go one better.

The son of Albrecht was only a half-length behind the winner as a $3 chance and punters are likely to get similar odds this time around.

Barrier six is ideal and this field is there for the taking.

Race 4. (14:18) Gallopers Sports Club BM78 (1660m)

#1 – Seleque – Bet @ PlayUp

Seleque couldn’t quite win three on the bounce last time out but there was little wrong with that effort.

The four-year-old mare by Deep Field is a five-time winner from 18 starts and getting 1.5kg off her back brings her into contention.

Running on soft ground conditions are a bonus and we don’t think she has any rivals in this contest.

Race 5. (14:53) XXXX Dry C1 Handicap (1350m)

#3 – Enterprise Mia – Bet @ PlayUp

The four-year-old mare is only a one-time winner but she has been around the mark throughout her career.

She followed up her maiden win at Eagle Farm with back-to-back placings, including a third at Doomben last time out.

Getting an inside draw with 2kg coming off her back helps.

Race 6. (15:28) Racecourse Village BM65 (1200m)

#6 – Cudyado – Bet @ PlayUp

Cudyado was too good on the polytrack last start, and although that doesn’t always stack up, he looks better than average.

The three-year-old gelding paid only $1.50 when scoring and he is drawn to get every chance from barrier four.

Having Ryan Maloney in the saddle is bonus and punters could get each-way odds.

Race 7. (16:03) Tab Venue Mode C3 Plate (1200m)

#5 – El Vencedor – Bet @ PlayUp

El Vencedor is a three-time winner and placegetter from 11 starts and he could add to his record.

The son of Shocking has been mixing his form lately, but he comes off a second placing at Doomben and he could improve on that position.

Jim Byrne rides and the soft track conditions are right up his alley.

Race 8. (16:34) Country Music Raceday on Sale BM72 (1350m)

#10 – Love Yers All – Bet @ PlayUp

Love Yers All has been close this preparation and she is a past winner at Doomben.

The Lindsay Hatch-trained mare is an experienced runner with five wins and 16 placings, so punters can’t overlook her chances.

She gets all favours off the inside draw and the odds should be appealing.
