Ended We have expert betting tips for racing at Doomben on Wednesday, which includes eight races at the quality meeting.
Punters get good value odds for the Queensland meeting, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.
Race 1. (12:02) Souths Sports Club Maiden (1200m)
#9 - Our Girl Scarlett

Our Girl Scarlett comes off consecutive placings at Gold Coast and Eagle Farm and getting down to 54.5kg is a bonus.
The three-year-old filly by King’s Legacy has good form on soft tracks with three placings, and she doesn’t need to be good to beat this field.
Take the each-way odds that should be available.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 2. (12:37) Become a BRC Member Maiden (1200m)
#1 - Iconify

Tony Gollan lines up Iconify, who ran second at Canterbury last preparation, and his third placing at Ipswich last start wasn’t bad.
The four-year-old son of I Am Invincible shouldn’t take long to exit maiden grades, and this race is there for the taking.
Look for a betting push on race day as a guide.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 3. (13:12) Sky Racing Handicap (1110m)
#9 - Tengun Tommy

Tengun Tommy faced a tough field on debut at Gold Coast, and he has since changed stables to Tony Gollan.
The two-year-old gelding by Flying Artie has since run second at the Doomben trials, and he looks ready to make an impact.
Punters should get each-way odds from bookmakers.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 4. (13:47) Ladbrokes Stradbroke Calcutta BM70 (1350m)
#7 - Every Heart

Michael Freedman lines up Every Heart, who looks to improve on two fifths this preparation.
The four-year-old mare by Toronado owns two wins and five placings from 15 starts, including a win and a placing at Doomben.
2kg comes off her back, which could be enough to take her close.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 5. (14:22) XXXX Gold BM70 (1350m)
#3 - Bluepinot

Bluepinot wasn’t far away when running third fresh up at Gold Coast, and the Waller-trained gelding should run well on Wednesday.
The four-year-old son of Blue Point won his only start at Doomben, so getting back to this track could be enough to take him close.
Barrier three is ideal, and soft track conditions are right up his alley.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 6. (14:57) Drinkwise C4 (1640m)
#1 - Blazing Harry

Blazing Harry faced a tricky field at Doomben last time out, but he didn’t disgrace himself with a fourth behind Kalaukoi.
The Billy Healey-trained five-year-old showed toughness when scoring at Ipswich two starts back, and something close to that run should be good enough.
3kg comes off his big weight, and we expect a fine bounce-back effort.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 7. (15:32) Racing World 50th Anniversary C4 (1200m)
#3 - First Mission

First Mission is nearing a win after posting two placings this preparation, including a second placing at Ipswich last time out.
The four-year-old son of Snitzel owns three wins and seven placings from 15 starts, so he’s rarely too far away from the prize.
This race is ideal for him, so include in horse racing picks.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 8. (16:07) Ladbrokes Popular SRM BM65 (1110m)
#13 - Excenia

Team McEvoy lines up Excenia, who owns a win and four placings from seven starts, which is a tidy record.
The three-year-old filly by Exceed and Excel has yet to win on a soft track, but she has been close with two placings.
Having Ryan Maloney riding helps her cause, so include her in picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
