Doomben free tips & form
Race 1. (11:15) TAB BM75 (1600m)
#11 – Sacred Day @ $4.60 – Bet Now
Tony Pike has already had a terrific Brisbane Winter Carnival and that could continue here with Sacred Day.
The Kiwi runner was a good winner earlier this preparation and although he has been beaten numerous times since, they have come against some stiff opposition.
Easier here and the stable is flying.
Race 2. (11:50) Australian Hall of Fame BM75 (2000m)
#16 – Guise @ $4.60 – Bet Now
Chris Waller lines up the unbeaten filly which has won all three starts to date. The three-year-old was a one-length winner at Gold Coast last start and that form looks good for this.
She’s a daughter of So You Think which has more scope than most of this field and with only 54kg on her back, she’s right in this.
Nice odds on offer at $4.60.
Race 3. (12:25) City Property Bill Carter Stakes (1200m)
#9 – California Zimbol @ $4.40 – Bet Now
Impressive winner on debut by 1.5 lengths and that backed up some nice trial form. The Snowden-trained two-year-old is still growing and that’s a scary sign for her opposition.
We loved the way she picked up her opposition on debut and although she has drawn wide in barrier 17, she has already shown ability to get back and storm home.
Race 4. (13:00) JRA Plate (1200m)
#1 – Zoustyle @ $1.80 – Bet Now
Scratched last start due to the heavy conditions but he will enjoy the good conditions this Saturday.
Tony Gollan lines up the unbeaten gelding which has remained perfect from all five starts. Four of those wins have come on this track and he has a Group 1 feature on the horizon.
Drawing barrier two is perfect for him and he’s the one to beat.
Race 5. (13:40) Bright Shadow Stakes (1200m)
#1 – Quilista @ $4 – Bet Now
Huge effort to run second in the Silk Stocking last start on an unsuitable heavy track. The five-year-old is much better on a good surface with 22 starts for six wins.
She will have to carry a big weight of 60kg, but having Kerrin McEvoy in the saddle helps and she’s drawn to get a nice run.
Tough field but most of the money has come for Quilista.
Race 6. (14:20) Chief De Beers (1110m)
#7 – Isaurian @ $3 – Bet Now
Isaurian opened at $3.60 and has been steady firming in price. James Cummings lines up the talented four-time winner, which has trialed nicely coming into this.
There are some smart types in this but they have drawn wide. That’s tough over this distance and Isaurian has drawn barrier four, which is going to be ideal.
Nice each-way type.
Race 7. (15:00) BRC Sprint (1350m)
#1 – I’m A Rippa @ $5.50 – Bet Now
I’m A Rippa has been poor his last two starts but he’s better than that and punters should give him one more chance.
The five-year-old is a five-time winner at Doomben and he excels on the dry surfaces with 21 starts for seven wins and eight placings.
Punters are getting a good price and it’s good to see Jeff Lloyd in the saddle.
Race 9. (16:20) Magic Millions The Roses (2000m)
#1 – Scarlet Dream @ $2.40 – Bet Now
Scarlet Dream is a nice type in the making and she should have the class edge over this field.
Mark Newnham lines up the three-year-old filly which ran second in the Australian Oaks last start and that’s terrific form for this.
She has been prepared with a 1.5-length trial win over 1200m and that shows just how forward she is.
