Cool Moon owns two second placings from two starts, including placings at Ipswich and Doomben.

The two-year-old filly by Cool Aza Beel also comes off two second placings at the trials, so although she finds one better, she should run well.

Getting Craig Williams in the saddle doesn’t hurt.

Stake: 2 Units

Champonnet showed glimpes of good form last campaign, including a third placing at Beaumont before spelling.

The Matthew Dunn-trained gelding comes off a trial win at Grafton, so that is a good sign, and it could translate to race day success.

It’s not an overly tough maiden field, so look for a betting push.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Bringing race day form to the table is Brutal Advance, who placed at Sunshine Coast before placing at Ipswich last start.

It’s tough to judge what the debutants will do in this race, but with four starts under his belt, he should be tough to hold out.

It’s another premium ride for Williams, who could have a big day.

Stake: 1 Unit

Looking to win on debut for Tony Gollan is Balance the Books, who brings in some impressive trial form.

The three-year-old filly by Capitalist owns two wins and two placings at the trials, and they often start well on debut from this stable.

Angela Jones is riding well, so that adds to our confidence.

I Am Unstoppable has a fair amount of class, boasting two wins and seven placings from 12 starts for more than $715,000.

The Ciaron Maher-trained ran third in a tough race at Caulfield last start and coming to Queensland only helps his chances.

It’s a nice field but he’s clearly the best of them.

Stake: 3 Units

New Joy comes off consecutive wins at Toowoomba and Ipswich, and that form is good enough to compete at this level.

The four-year-old mare by Heroic Valour gets all favours off the inside draw with a 2kg claimer riding, so there are no excuses.

Look for her to push forward and be tough to run down.

Stake: 1.5 Units

I Am a Marvel is already a two-time winner this preparation, and a five-time winner from 20 starts overall.

The five-year-old doesn’t often put in a bad run, and his form on soft tracks includes four wins and four placings.

2kg comes off his back, so he should produce another big effort.

Stake: 2 Units

Facundo won well two back at Ipswich before placing at Sunshine Coast, and something similar is good enough to win this race.

The three-year-old son of National Defense has been prepared with a trial placing at Doombem, so he looks ready to fire fresh up.

Barrier five is ideal and he should get all favours in the run.

Stake: 1 Unit
