Tommy Thug is better for two runs this preparation, including a second placing at Hawkesbury last time out.
Form out of New South Wales stacks up well in Brisbane, and the Ciaron Maher-trained runner is looking for an easier maiden win.
This race looks ideal, so put him on top.

Swag has been awfully close to breaking maidens after posting four placings from five starts, and we’re happy to give him another chance.
The three-year-old son of Bivouac comes off a second placing at Doomben behind Armes, which is a tidy form guide for this race.
2kg comes off his back, which is another positive.
Stake: 1.5 Unit
Looking to go one better than her debut second placing is Nightline, who is a striking daughter of Redwood.
The three-year-old filly was only narrowly beaten at Gold Coast, and she should strengthen up nicely off that effort.
She will need to be tough from barrier 13, but Ryan Maloney riding is a big help.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Margot’s Deel has been in excellent form this preparation, including a win and two placings, so punters should be confident.
The four-year-old mare by Dundeel has yet to finish worse than third at Doomben, so it’s hard to doubt her form at the track.
We expect her to be fighting out the finish once again.
Stake: 2 Units
Looking to improve on a last-start seventh is Extreme Spirit, who showed much better form when posting three consecutive placings to start his prep.
The five-year-old son of Extreme Choice is only a one-time winner from 18 starts, but dropping to 55kg is enough to take him close.
From barrier five, he’s worth including in horse racing picks.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Looking to remain unbeaten is Balance the Books, who couldn’t have been more impressive when winning by two lengths.
The four-year-old mare by Capitalist won by two lengths, and she has since looked good at the trials to prepare for her return.
Angela Jones takes the ride, and money is likely to come for her on race day.
Stake: 3 Units
Galano showed good form earlier this prep when winning at Muswellbrook and Canterbury, and if he can get back to that form, he has every chance of winning.
The five-year-old son of Snitzel found it too tough at Eagle Farm last start, but this is a much easier race at the midweek level.
3kg comes off his back to help with the weight.
Stake: 2 Units
Consistency is with Alectrona, who comes off four consecutive second placings at Eagle Farm and Doomben.
Having good recent form at the track is ideal, and his overall record consists of three wins and 11 placings from 20 starts, which is handy.
Barrier two plays into his hands, so include him in picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
