Race 1. (14:40) Racecourse Village Maiden (1110m)
#1 – Hell March
Hell March is nearing a win after posting three second placings from five starts, including last time out at Murwillumbah.
Coming to Doomben won’t make life easy for the three-year-old gelding, but he has enough pace to win over this distance.
Getting the inside draw could help him find the front and kick away.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 2. (15:15) Souths Sports Club BM65 (1650m)
#1 – Victory Flame
Consistency is with Victory Flame, who owns a win and three placings from four career starts.
The three-year-old son of Pierata won by three lengths at Gatton to exit maidens before placing at Sunshine Coast behind Hereditary.
The stable is firing and the odds should reflect as much.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 3. (15:51) Girls Day Out Maiden (1350m)
#12 – Philia
David Vandyke lines up Philia, who ran second at Gold Coast on debut before placing at Doomben last time out.
The three-year-old daughter of All Too Hard was a close margin behind the winner last start before spelling, and she could come back stronger.
Getting the inside draw is ideal and she should be well-backed.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Race 4. (16:26) Stradbroke Season Book Now Maiden (1350m)
#6 – Il Patrigno
We were impressed by the turn-of-foot from Il Patrigno on debut, finishing third at Sunshine Coast behind Crackenthorpe.
The three-year-old colt by D’argento had solid betting support on that occasion at $5, and punters should expect something similar on Wednesday.
Jaden Lloyd rides and he’s a confident young jockey.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 5. (17:01) XXXX Gold BM70 (1200m)
#8 – North of Eli
North of Eli looks ready to win after three solid efforts this preparation, including a fresh up placing at Sunshine Coast.
The Matthew Dunn-trained gelding owns four placings over the distance and he’s a three-time winner, so he has enough ability to win.
Having Andrew Mallyon in the saddle helps his cause.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 6. (17:36) Sky Racing C4 (1350m)
#8 – Outsmarted
Boasting three wins from four starts is Outsmarted, who kicked away for a 1.8-length win at Warwick last start.
The four-year-old gelding by Written Tycoon makes the rise in class, but he has plenty of ability and he’s good enough to handle it.
Carrying 55kg is ideal and the experienced Mark du Plessis takes the ride.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 7. (18:14) Magic Millions March BM65 (1650m)
#10 – Sweet Proposal
Sweet Proposal has been teasing punters with a win this preparation, and we’re happy to stick with her.
The four-year-old mare by Dundeel is bred to win races, and with two wins and seven placings from 15 starts, she hasn’t been too far away.
She’s good enough to handle this field and pay nice odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 8. (18:44) Ladbrokes Punter Assist C1 (1110m)
#7 – Rose Noir
Rose Noir hit the line well enough at Ipswich last time out and being a past winner at Doomben adds to her winning claims.
The daughter of Divine Prophet also runs her best races over the distance with four starts for a win and two placings, so the stats check out.
She’s in good hands and we’re not leaving her out.
Stake: 2 Units
