A massive 10-race program is scheduled for Eagle Farm this Saturday, which includes the Victory Stakes and Gunsynd Classic.
We have free tips and form for all 10 races on the card and it promises to be a great return to Eagle Farm racing as the Brisbane winter carnival gets closer.
Eagle Farm free tips & form
Race 1. (11:00) Raelene Boyle Outreach BM75 (2200m)
#6 – Oakfield Monarch – Bet Now
Looms as a winning hope after running second last time out and he looked good last campaign when winning three on the bounce.
Tony Gollan lines up the six-year-old, which is rarely too far away from the prize and with every chance in the run, he should be hitting the line nicely.
Race 2. (11:30) Hoppy’s Handwash Café Handicap (1835m)
#3 – Le Juge – Bet Now
Chris Waller-trained runner which has made Queensland his home after winning four of his last five starts.
The imported six-year-old has turned the corner since arriving in the Sunshine State and he looms as a winning chance once again.
Drawing barrier two should see him land on the speed and having Blake Shinn in the saddle is a bonus.
Race 3. (12:00) Children’s Hospital C6 (1600m)
#10 – Gold Ambition – Bet Now
Produced a much better effort when third at Eagle Farm last start and having that experience on this track is a positive.
The Michael Costa-trained six-year-old scored back-to-back wins last campaign and running anything close to that will see him tough to beat here.
This isn’t an easy race but he always improves after two runs into his campaign and that bodes well for this.
Race 4. (12:33) Sporting Chance Cancer Quality (1300m)
#2 – Mahis Angel – Bet Now
Lloyd Kennewell lines up the three-year-old colt which has a nice future ahead of it after winning twice last campaign.
The son of Mahisara has finished in the money in four of his five career starts and his best form comes fresh up with two starts for a win and a placing.
His most recent win came at Caulfield and having form in Melbourne is always going to stack up nicely in Queensland.
Race 5. (13:08) Dalrello Stakes (1000m)
#5 – Deep Sea – Bet Now
Very impressive debut win at Randwick and the form out of that race is going to hold well at this level. He faces a harder task here but punters had to be impressed with his effort.
He sat off the speed in the field of nine and came with a massive run down the outside. The son of Deep Field will need to rely on luck here from barrier 12 but he’s got an impressive turn-of-foot in his arsenal.
Watch for any positive betting moves.
Race 6. (13:43) McCarthy Homes BM75 (1400m)
#5 – Splitter – Bet Now
Two wins from its last three starts and the four-year-old mare looms as a winning chance in this again.
She was a narrow winner fresh up at Gold Coast before running third on this track. She returned to winning form at Toowoomba last time out and although she’s winning by narrow margins, she has been impressive.
A good surface is ideal and she will enjoy the conditions.
Race 7. (14:22) Energy Air BM75 (1400m)
#3 – Danzie – Bet Now
He’s going to need some luck after receiving barrier 20 but he has plenty of ability. He showed that last preparation when winning consecutive races and that form takes him close here.
He was formerly in Sydney where he showed good form and changing tact to Queensland is only going to better his chances.
Punters will need to take him on trust but he’s quality at best and only needs some luck here.
Race 8. (15:02) Gunsynd Classic (1600m)
#1 – Gem Song – Bet Now
Kris Lees lines up the three-year-old colt which has taken on some of the best age-group stars in the country.
The son of Your Song has won four from eight starts and he wasn’t far behind when finishing fourth of 11 runners at Randwick last time out.
Drawing barrier nine could make it awkward here, but he has beaten fields much better than this and that should count for something.
Race 9. (15:42) Victory Stakes (1200m)
#1 – Redzel @ $1.55 – Bet Now
Redzel is the clear class horse of this field and should be a star attraction of the meeting. The dual Everest winner has over $15 million in the bank and a mortgage on this race.
He might not be in the best form having finished eighth and sixth at his last two starts, but he’s got lengths on this field and carrying 58.5kg isn’t going to stop him.
He opened up at $1.60 and we’re not expecting his current odds to last very long.
Race 10. (16:22) Metricon Plate (1200m)
#7 – Capital Connection – Bet Now
Five-time winner from 13 starts which is in career-best form having won two of his last three starts.
He’s an in-form son of Denman, which gets the inside draw and although he likes room to move, jockey Jeff Lloyd should give him a chance to get out.
Clear running will determine his chances.
