Eagle Farm horse racing tips
Race 1. (11:28) Janette Margaret Reed Memorial BM72 (2112m)
#1 – Dashing Special – Bet Now
Dashing Special doesn’t win all that often but he did score three starts back at Doomben.
The seven-year-old owns only four wins from 46 starts but he also has 19 placings to his record, which is some effort.
He has a renewed confidence and drawing barrier two should see him fighting out the finish.
Race 2. (12:03) Tab Long May We Play Handicap (1200m)
#1 – Kisukano – Bet Now
Kisukano was beaten last time out but she certainly wasn’t disgraced when carrying the big weight.
The talented daughter of Bel Esprit has won four from six and she is the only horse to have beaten Rothfire, which is Group 1 form.
Alex Patis takes the ride again and she should be able to handle this level of opposition.
Race 3. (12:38) Welcome Back To Track 0MW (1400m)
#6 – Super Contender – Bet Now
Chris Waller lines up Super Contender, which owns two wins from only three starts. The five-year-old scored by 3.3 lengths last start and another top effort will be expected this Saturday.
The son of Kodiac has made an impressive start to his career and with only 54kg on his back, he should be an odds-on runner to win again.
Look for short odds which could be included into multi bets.
Race 4. (13:13) Quincy 0MW (1400m)
#4 – Bubbles Ball – Bet Now
Bubbles Ball didn’t quite finish it off last start but the Kris Lees-trained mare has the ability to turn that result around.
The five-year-old by Zoustar has finished in the money in 10 of her 18 starts and she could return to her best form.
This race is there for the taking and punters will get generous odds.
Race 5. (13:52) The Village Kitchen Ascot C6 (1800m)
#2 – Mangione – Bet Now
Mangione has the ability to win races like this and he just needs a touch of confidence.
The Waller-trained five-year-old was only three lengths behind the winner at Eagle Farm last start and he hit the line with good authority.
It is an open contest for this race and he could storm home late at each-way odds.
Race 6. (14:32) Cascade Handicap (1200m)
#7 – Super Effort @ $2.60 – Bet Now
Super Effort produced a super effort to score on debut and he looks like a nice type in the making.
The Waller-trained three-year-old won by 1.8 lengths at Sunshine Coast and although the field was only average, it was a convincing display.
Drawing the inside barrier with only 54kg on his back makes him tough to beat.
Race 7. (15:12) Tab Long May We Play Handicap (1200m)
#1 – Snitch @ $4.20 – Bet Now
Snitch ended his last campaign with consecutive wins and he could fire up in a fresh state here.
The Tony Gollan-trained gelding has since won two trials at Doomben and that means he’s ready to fire and running well at this track.
Punters could get value odds for Snitch against a field that contains many nice types.
Race 8. (15:52) Kirin Handicap (1600m)
#1 – Carzoff @ $5 – Bet Now
Carzoff is getting close to a win following three consecutive placings and he meets an even field at Doomben.
The eight-year-old isn’t getting any younger but he is running well and he made up a stack of ground from the back of the field last start.
This is his first run at Doomben and punters should enjoy getting $5 for him to win.
Race 9. (16:28) BRC Membership Renewal C6 (1000m)
#11 – Howwonderfullifeis @ $4.20 – Bet Now
Tony Gollan lines up the four-year-old mare that ran second at Doomben last start and she could go one better here.
She owns a win at Doomben in the past and her best form comes over the short-course distance. She has had six starts at this distance for two wins and two placings.
Money has come her way already and her odds could drop.
