Eagle Farm Racing Tips for Saturday, August 29th 2026

The four-year-old mare by Spirit of Boom owns two wins and five placings from eight starts, so she has been consistently running well.

3kg comes off her back from an in-form apprentice, which bodes well.

Looking for consecutive wins is Barcelo, who scored by 1.5 lengths as a $2 favourite last time out.

The four-year-old son of Too Darn Hot is a two-time winner, and his form since coming to Eagle Farm has improved.

Ryan Maloney rides for Chris Waller, which is a good combination.

We’re going to the well again with Wrigley Field, who ran third at Doomben last Saturday.

The four-year-old mare keeps hitting the line well enough to include in picks, and she’s likely to settle back and come with a late run.

The current odds are good enough to include her in picks.

Shooting for three consecutive wins is Exceed the Sale, who won at Eagle Farm before winning at Doomben last time out.

The three-year-old filly by Exceedance comes from the Tony Gollan stable, and she won in style last time out.

3kg comes off her back to help with the weight, and it’s another to see her win again.

We’re taking the each-way odds for Midnight Spirit, who turned his form around with a win at Eagle Farm last time out.

The four-year-old son of Spirit of Boom is another quality runner from the Gollan stable, and he could kick on with it this spring.

He gets the inside draw with Youngberry riding, which helps with the weight.

Stake: 1 Unit

Everybody Rise has been an excellent bet this preparation after rattling off five straight wins since coming to Queensland.

He makes his own luck in front, and the opposition hasn’t been able to catch him with wins at Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, and Eagle Farm.

The inside draw is ideal, and there is no reason to jump off his back.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Punters get value odds for Thinkhardandfast, who owns four wins and seven placings from 15 starts, so the odds are better than expected.

The six-year-old mare has yet to finish worse than second over the distance, and she only needs luck from a wide draw to go close.

Look for her to settle midfield and come with a late burst.  

Stake: 1 Unit

Polyglot is already a two-time winner this preparation, including last time out at Rosehill, which is an excellent form guide.

The five-year-old son of Lonhro gets every chance off the inside draw with a light weight, and it should be enough to take him close.

The $2.90 odds could firm on race day, so take the opening price.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Punters get each-way odds for Livalittle, who doesn’t know how to run a bad race with 13 starts for five wins and six placings.

The five-year-old son of The Autumn Sun enjoys running at Eagle Farm, and barrier two gives him every chance in the run.

It’s not an easy field, but he doesn’t often let punters down.

Stake: 1 Unit

We’re including Hopper in our horse racing picks, after the five-year-old looked good when winning at Sunshine Coast last start.

The son of Snitzel raced away to score by 2.5 lengths, and he has been primed with a trial win in heavy conditions.

He rises in class, but 54.5kg on his back is enough to take him close.
