Midweek racing returns to Eagle Farm and we have our best horse racing tips at the ready.
Eagle Farm horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (13:08) Tab Venue Mode C1 (1000m)
#1 – Prince Shalaa – Bet @ Bet365
Prince Shalaa scored a tidy win on debut at Doomben and that form should stack up nicely at Eagle Farm.
The three-year-old has since won a trial on a heavy track to prepare and he’s bred to handle all tracks, so he’s versatile.
Getting barrier two is ideal and the odds might not be big.
Race 2. (13:43) Eureka Stud Maiden (1000m)
#1 – Art Heist – Bet @ Bet365
Art Heist could steal the money on Wednesday after a good effort for third at Gold Coast last time out.
The Stuart Laming-trained four-year-old showed good pace as the $3 favourite and he could be around the same price here.
It could pay to watch for race day betting moves.
Race 3. (14:18) XXXX Dry C4 Handicap (1000m)
#5 – Fetch – Bet @ Bet365
Fetch hasn’t shown much consistency of late but she’s better than what she showed at Eagle Farm last start.
The four-year-old won at Doomben two back before facing an open-class field, so dropping in grade could be all she needs to fire up.
Barrier four and 55kg on her back is another positive.
Race 4. (14:53) Sky Racing BM70 (1845m)
#2 – Secret Tales – Bet @ Bet365
Secret Tales looked good when scoring back-to-back wins earlier this preparation and she could get back to that form.
The daughter of Spill the Beans owns a win at Eagle Farm and having form on this track can make the difference between winning and losing.
Look for each-way odds from bookmakers.
Race 5. (15:28) Country Music C1 (1600m)
#4 – Noble Cat – Bet @ Bet365
Noble Cat should have won at Sunshine Coast last start when finishing a nose behind the winner.
The five-year-old gelding won two back at Doomben by a length and a repeat of that effort sees him taking this out.
It’s not the easiest C1 field but he has massive upside and we’re in his camp.
Race 6. (16:03) Mekka Races 10 August BM68 (1500m)
#7 – Hemsworth – Bet @ Bet365
Looking for consecutive wins is Hemsworth, who was too good for them at Scone and it came by 3.3 lengths, so it was classy.
The five-year-old son of Reliable Man is unbeaten in two starts over the distance and he handles all track conditions, so he’s ready to fire again.
Look for positive betting moves on race day as they should come.
Race 7. (16:38) 2022-23 BRC Membership BM68 (1200m)
#13 – If You Can Dream – Bet @ Bet365
Tony Gollan lines up the five-year-old mare who looks to have enough ability to win in this company.
The daughter of So You Think owns two wins and four placings from 10 starts, so she’s already around the mark and her recent trial was solid.
Carrying a light weight helps and we’re putting her in calculations.
