Eagle Farm horse racing tips
Race 1. (13:32) Ascot Green Handicap (1000m)
#1 – Rothfire @ $1.85 – Bet Now
Rothfire is unbeaten after two runs and he has looked impressive in the process.
The two-year-old gelding scored by a nose on debut at Eagle Farm before destroying the opposition by six lengths last start.
He has been primed with a 1.5-length trial win and there doesn’t appear to be any slowing down this talented gelding.
Race 2. (14:07) Events @ BRC BM90 (2200m)
#10– Raqeeq @ $3.90 – Bet Now
Chris Waller lines up the capable stayer which comes into this having won at Canterbury last start.
Scratched from racing at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, the six-year-old should find this level of racing right up his alley.
He’s better on dry ground but he’s worth considering at the each-way odds.
Race 3. (14:42) Girls Day Out 0MW (1000m)
#8 – Usmanov @ $2.70 – Bet Now
Team Edmonds trains the talented four-year-old, which scored a win at Gold Coast three starts back.
It was an impressive effort from the son of Choisir and he owns form on rain-affected tracks.
55kg on the back is ideal and although this could be a tricky race, he offers punters with the best chance of winning.
Race 4. (15:17) Paddyfest March 14 Handicap (1000m)
#2 – Jagged Edge @ $4 – Bet Now
Jagged Edge comes into this off an impressive win at Sunshine Coast and he has handled wet tracks in the past.
He scored a win on a soft track by 2.3 lengths last year, so that bodes well for this upcoming run Eagle Farm.
Punters are getting good odds for the son of Better Than Ready, so he’s worth including in selections.
Race 5. (15:58) Family Raceday April 4 Handicap (1400m)
#7 – Impasse @ $2.65 – Bet Now
Looking to score back-to-back wins, Impasse is every chance of doing so after posting a 1.3-length win.
The Matthew Dunn-trained gelding sat back in the field before coming with a big run late in the race. That turn-of-foot should see him rise through the grades and he’s doing a good job of that.
There has been steady money come for him throughout the week and with Robbie Fradd in the saddle, he should prove tough to beat.
Race 6. (16:38) Anzac Races BM80 (1800m)
#1 – Roman Son @ $11 – Bet Now
Punters will need to keep the faith with this runner, which showed talent early on and is struggling for confidence now.
The Richard Freedman-trained gelding is coming off a disappointing run at Randwick and perhaps the change in scenery will help his cause.
He handles rain-affected tracks and although draw wide, he has time to find cover and come with a big run late.
Race 7. (17:18) TAB C3 Plate (1200m)
#15 – Ingear @ $3.40 – Bet Now
Ingear has been a touch expensive this season but the talent is there and punters should stick with the filly.
The daughter of Dissident ran only one length behind the winner at Eagle Farm earlier this month and she gets every chance in this.
Drawing barrier two is ideal and with the light weight, we’re expecting her to return to winning form.
Race 8. (18:00) The Society Rooftop C3 Plate (1200m)
#5 – Royal Phoenix @ $34 – Bet Now
Les Kelly lines up the upset chance which could pay a nice price for punters.
The five-year-old is coming off a poor run at Sunshine Coast but he looked good winning prior at Gold Coast.
A repeat of that run would be enough to see him contest this race.
Race 9. (18:40) Asian Racing Conference C6 (1400m)
#13 – Red Chase @ $4.20 – Bet Now
Red Chase is going to appreciate the light weight and he could score a second-up win.
The four-year-old gelding has finished in the money in eight of his 18 starts, which is solid consistency.
With only 54.5kg on his back, he should get every chance to impress and pay a good price for punters in the last.
