Eagle Farm horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (12:33) Tab Long May We Play Handicap (1200m)
#3 – Igor – Bet Now
Igor is coming off an impressive win at Gold Coast and he looks a good chance of going back-to-back.
The Kacy Fogden-trained two-year-old showed nothing on debut but quickly turned that form around and he could rise through the grades now.
Look for a solid betting moves on race day.
Race 2. (13:08) Eva Air Maiden (1400m)
#4 – Daring Man – Bet Now
Daring Man is a two-year-old gelding that is coming off consecutive second placings. He was only a neck behind the winner two back and he beat all but one home last time out.
The son of Olympic Glory settled well off the pace and came with a huge late run. It was the performance of a next-up winner so include him in selections.
Race 3. (13:43) ICM Project Solutions Maiden (1000m)
#10 – Tayella – Bet Now
Tayella could make a winning debut for trainers Team Edmonds after two solid trial efforts. The three-year-old filly placed in two trials and she looks a strong chance here.
Drawing barrier two is ideal and securing Robbie Fradd in the saddle is a good sign for punters.
She is another runner that could attract attention with bookmakers.
Race 4. (14:18) Tab Long May We Play C3 Handicap (1200m)
#8 – Amiche – Bet Now
Amiche is gunning for three consecutive wins after posting victories at Sunshine Coast and Ipswich.
The David Vandyke-trained three-year-old scored by 9.5 lengths to break maiden grades and she backed that up with a 2.8-length victory.
It is great form for this race and short odds should be on offer.
Race 5. (14:53) BRC Membership Renewal BM70 (1400m)
#2 – Slow Hands – Bet Now
Slow Hands can need a run to get fit but he is a past winner fresh up. The Kelly Schweida-trained gelding showed good consistency last preparation and he runs well at Eagle Farm.
He has had seven starts on this track for five second placings, and his first win on this track won’t be far away.
Drawing barrier four is ideal and he should be right around the mark.
Race 6. (15:28) The Village Kitchen Ascot BM85 (1000m)
#3 – Rock Beat – Bet Now
Rock Beat is unbeaten fresh up from three attempts and he has plenty of things in his favour this Wednesday.
The four-year-old is also unbeaten from two starts at Eagle Farm and four from five starts over this distance.
Drawing barrier 10 doesn’t help but we can’t look past those impressive form lines.
Race 7. (16:03) XXXX Dry BM75 (1800m)
#12 – Merlin’s Magic – Bet Now
Merlin’s Magic gets every chance from the inside draw with a light weight and we like her chances this week.
The Kelly-trained daughter of Camelot finished second at Doomben last time out and the slight drop back in distance won’t worry her.
Look for each-way odds from bookmakers.
Race 8. (16:38) Canadian Club BM68 (1200m)
#5 – Schweid As – Bet Now
Schweid As has yet to run worse than fourth from five career starts and he should run another good race.
The three-year-old is coming off a solid run for fourth at Doomben and although he is yet to race at Eagle Farm, the bigger track should suit.
Senior rider Jim Byrne takes the ride and that will only boost his chances of winning.
