Eagle Farm horse racing tips

Race 1. (11:28) Tab Venue Mode BM80 (1815m)

#5 – See Marie – Bet @ Neds

See Marie has raced below her best this preparation and we think she could be warming up for a big run.

The four-year-old mare is a five-time winner from 21 starts and she was only 1.8 lengths behind the winner at Eagle Farm last start.

Punters should get value odds on race day.

Race 2. (12:03) Ascot Childcare & Kindy C3 (1600m)

#4 – Southern Stock – Bet @ Neds

Southern Stock isn’t always the most consistent but with three wins from 11 starts, he demands attention.

The Chris Munce-trained three-year-old has been getting close after three consecutive starts on the track, but he’s working towards a win.

Only the wide barrier is a concern but put him on top.

Race 3. (12:38) BRC Membership Handicap (1400m)

#2 – Recommendation – Bet @ Neds

Recommendation is unbeaten after two starts and we like his chances of staying unbeaten.

The two-year-old colt won on debut at Gosford before winning at Muswellbrook by a length as the $1.80 favourite.

He’ll be at longer odds here and they’re worth taking.

Race 4. (13:13) Millers Swim School BM75 (2400m)

#2 – Oceanic Flash @ $2.90 – Bet @ Neds

Oceanic Flash is getting close to a win and switching to Queensland could see his form improve.

The four-year-old son of Sacred Falls ran second at Rosehill last start and he has experience at Eagle Farm to help.

We’re not surprised by his opening odds.

Race 5. (13:48) Mount Franklin Handicap (1200m)

#7 – Apple Tart – Bet @ Neds

Apple Tart is rarely too far away from the prize with three wins and six placings from 14 attempts.

The Stuart Kendrick-trained filly owns two wins at the distance and dropping to 54kg should see her running close.

Watch for any late betting moves.

Race 6. (14:23) BRC Kids Membership BM78 (1200m)

#7 – Rubamos – Bet @ Neds

Rubamos is better than what he showed at Rosehill last start but he will appreciate the easier field.

The Chris Waller-trained son of I Am Invincible is a three-time winner and his best form is good enough to beat this field.

There should be solid betting support on race day.

Race 7. (15:02) Ascot Green C6 Handicap (1000m)

#4 – Osamu @ $3.60 – Bet @ Neds

Osamu was too good for them at Eagle Farm last time out and he’s shooting for three wins on the bounce.

The son of Exceed and Excel is unbeaten in two starts on the track and he also runs well over the distance.

Barrier three is ideal and punters get odds worth taking.

Race 8. (15:42) Country Music Raceday Handicap (1400m)

#7 – Excelman @ $7.50 – Bet @ Neds

It always pays to watch for any betting moves with Richard Laming-trained runners.

The five-year-old is a two-time winner fresh up and he comes off a soft trial placing to prepare for this race.

The odds are too good to pass up for a talented type.

Race 9. (16:22) Racecourse Village Handicap (1400m)

#3 – Manhood @ $2.10 – Bet @ Neds

Manhood is running for three consecutive wins after scoring at Doomben emphatically by 4.5 lengths.

The three-year-old colt could be a nice type in the making and we expect his current odds to firm to around $1.70 on race day.

Take the value available and back a promising type.
