Eagle Farm horse racing tips
Race 1. (11:35) XXXX Dry BM85 (1300m)
#7 – Plenty – Bet Now
Plenty had plenty in hand when winning at Eagle Farm last start and he could remain unbeaten at Eagle Farm.
He has won both starts on this track and that was a nice field he beat last start. He flashed home along the rail to score and this field isn’t any harder.
Look for Plenty to continue his fine run of form.
Race 2. (12:10) Lexus BM85 (1300m)
#7 – The Pines – Bet Now
The Pines has yet to win this campaign but she put the writing on the wall last start. She flashed home for second at Sunshine Coast and racing at Eagle Farm should suit.
She is a five-time winner from only 10 starts and that isn’t a record to be messed with. It holds its ground against this field and she could get back to winning form.
Robbie Fradd just needs to produce a good ride from the wide draw.
Race 3. (12:45) The Village Kitchen BM78 (1600m)
#16 – Fairy Me Home – Bet Now
The Waller-trained gelding has been going close his last couple after posting second placings at Gold Coast it’s last two.
He is a son of Shamexpress that is usually in the money and his recent form is good enough to take out this race.
55kg on the back helps and we are expecting another solid each-way effort.
Race 4. (13:22) Tab Long May We Play Dalrello Stakes (1200m)
#7 – Smart ‘N’ Sexy – Bet Now
Smart ‘N’ Sexy is yet to win a race but she has done enough to warrant serious attention here. The Edmonds-trained filly ran second behind Away Game at Doomben and that is Group 1 form.
Her most recent effort was a fifth behind September Run and that race should be a good form guide for the future.
She gets 55kg and Robbie Fradd on her back, so she should go well.
Race 5. (14:02) Sky Active Tattersall’s Cup (2400m)
#10 – Another Dollar – Bet Now
The Waller-trained mare has been in form of late, which includes a win and a placing. She scored a gutsy win at Randwick two starts back and didn’t do much wrong last time out.
She finished third behind Le Juge at Doomben and she has experience running at Eagle Farm, so that will help her chances.
54kg on the back and punters should get value odds.
Race 6. (14:42) Tab Ascot Quality (1200m)
#2 – Scallopini @ $3.60 – Bet Now
Scallopini is a nine-race winner that was too good for them last time out. The five-year-old gelding scored by a nose at Doomben and he flashed home late to do so.
The well-bred son of Snitzel is a three-time winner on this track and he has yet to miss a placing from seven attempts at Eagle Farm.
It bodes well for another good run and the $3.60 is worth taking.
Race 7. (15:22) Magic Millions The Roses (1800m)
#2 – Vanna Girl @ $2.35 – Bet Now
Vanna Girl is all class and drawing barrier 13 shouldn’t do her any harm. The three-year-old folly has won six of her nine starts, including three on the bounce.
She finished powerfully to score last start and that form is going to stack up nicely for this race. She does meet a tough field but it’s similar to the one she beat last start.
Her opening price of $2.50 has firmed to $2.35 and that is not surprising.
Race 8. (16:00) Ascot Green Eagle Farm Mile (1600m)
#1 – Best of Days @ $9.50 – Bet Now
He won’t be the most popular runner with punters but Best of Days could score an upset win. The six-year-old ran third at Randwick last start and there was merit in that performance.
He has since been given a soft trial at Warwick Farm and that should have him ticking over nicely for this run.
The change of scenery could work the magic with the Cummings runner.
Race 9. (16:35) Quincy Dane Ripper Stakes (1400m)
#16 – Jen Rules @ $12 – Bet Now
Jen Rules is nearing a win after three consecutive placings and she is paying good odds with bookmakers.
The four-year-old by Redoute’s Choice ran third behind Shalwa last start and although this is harder, she could produce an upset result.
Take the $12 on an each-way basis.
