Eagle Farm free tips & form
Race 1. (11:10) Singapore Airlines BM75 (1000m)
#14 – November Man @ 2.90 – Bet Now
November Man is a consistent type which has won or placed at his last five career starts. The Anthony Cummings-trained gelding was a winner two back at Randwick before running second last start.
He does get back during his races and relies on a strong tempo and a fair amount of luck, but he has a nice turn-of-foot which will be needed here.
Best-backed runner of the field so treat with respect.
Race 2. (11:45) Winning Edge Presentation 2YO (1400m)
#2 – Kordia @ $2.80 – Bet Now
James Cummings lines up the talented juvenile which broke through for the win last start at Canterbury.
That came over a nice field and he has since run a good trial placing at Rosehill. Having that fitness under his belt will only help his chances and getting the inside draw is ideal.
Looks tough to beat and punters should come for the $2.80 on offer.
Race 3. (12:20) Battle Of The Bush (1200m)
#5 – Deadly Choices @ $4 – Bet Now
Deadly Choices has been deadly consistent this season, with five wins coming from his last nine starts.
The five-year-old is a six-time winner in the bush and he comes into this having won a nice Cloncurry Open race last start.
Drawn deep but it should be right in the thick of the action.
Race 4. (12:55) Stella Artois 3YO Plate (1400m)
#1 – Vega One @ $1.80 – Bet Now
Vega One has attracted plenty of money in the betting and he’s dropping back from Group 3 Fred Best Classic level.
The Tony Gollan-trained gelding was a brilliant winner prior to that when winning by 3.3 lengths at Doomben and that form must be good enough for this.
Well-weighted at the 57kg with Blake Shinn in the saddle and although $1.80 is short, he’s the best horse in this race.
Race 5. (13:35) Stav, Abby and Matt C6 Plate (1400m)
#13 – Sofie’s Gold Class @ $6.50 – Bet Now
Sofie’s Gold Class represents value in this race and she has won this campaign. She scored at odds of $21 two starts back at Eagle Farm and there’s no reason why she can’t repeat that effort.
She was only 1.2 lengths behind the winner when running fifth last time out and with a good run from barrier three and a light weight of 54kg, we’re confident she can run another nice race.
$6.50 is certainly worth taking.
Race 6. (14:15) Lazy Yak Tattersalls Cup (3000m)
#9 – Vow And Declare @ $3.60 – Bet Now
The three-year-old is giving away a stack of experience on this field but that second placing in the Queensland Derby was too good to ignore.
He ran a huge race behind Mr Quickie and although Big Duke has experience against the older horses, Vow And Declare is the form runner and has more improvement to come.
Interesting decision to keep him in work for another run but that only gives us confidence of another big run.
Race 7. (14:55) G.H. Mumm Stakes (1820m)
#9 – Take It Intern @ $3.60 – Bet Now
Looks a nice horse in the making after posting a second placing behind Star of the Seas last start and that form should hold up nicely.
The imported runner for Kris Lees has yet to win this campaign but is warming up nicely and with only 54kg on his back, this looks his best chance to score.
Showed his class when winning at Caulfield last preparation and he should post another win shortly.
Race 9. (16:15) W.J. Healy Stakes (1200m)
#2 – Victorem @ $3.60 – Bet Now
That was a mammoth run to score at Eagle Farm last start and we’d be surprised if he didn’t hold that form for this.
Trained by Jenny Graham, the four-year-old flashed home between runners and put a good field away. Whypeeo was second in that race and although this is another tough field, he’s heading in the right direction.
Opened at $3.90 and has already been backed into favouritism at $3.60.
