We have betting tips for Eagle Farm racing this Saturday, which includes a quality nine-race card and three Group 1 races.
The Stradbroke Handicap, J.J. Atkins Plate and Queensland Derby are on the card, but the other six races are going to be great for punters and we have expert betting tips, form and odds on offer.
Eagle Farm free tips & form
Race 1. (11:10) Kirin Daybreak Lover (1200m)
#1 – Plague Stone – Bet Now
Plague Stone was heavily backed to win at Doomben last start and although he scored by a nose, he still got the job done.
He now rises in weight for this but the fitness levels have improved and if any rain falls on the day, that’s only going to help his cause.
He’s classy at best with three wins and three second placings from 10 starts. On form he should beat this field but bookmakers won’t have him at long odds.
Race 2. (11:45) Pages Event Hire Dane Ripper (1400m)
#8 – Outback Barbie @ $3.30 – Bet Now
Outback Barbie might race in the Stradbroke Handicap but is a huge chance of winning this race if she lines up.
The Tony Gollan-trained three-year-old has been a touch unlucky this season but has over $660,000 in the bank throughout her career and that should be respected.
Jeff Lloyd will get a good run from barrier six and she could put this field to bed.
Race 3. (12:20) The Wayne Wilson (1600m)
#4 – Mister Sea Wolf – Bet Now
Drawing barrier 17 isn’t going to help his chances but he’ll likely get back during the run regardless.
Chris Waller lines up the seven-year-old which looked good winning at Rosehill three back and he has since run second at Group 2 level behind Life Less Ordinary.
That’s good form for a race like this and James McDonald is the form rider to have in the saddle.
Race 4. (12:55) Black Hinkler Handicap (1200m)
#10 – Noble Boy – Bet Now
Noble Boy has progressed into a very nice type and he could continue his winning form this Saturday.
The Todd Blowes-trained four-year-old has won seven of his eight career starts and he showed them a clean pair of heels at Eagle Farm last start.
His only defeat came in the Country Championship but he has come through that with more experience and ability.
Tough field here but the 54kg and Glen Boss on his back isn’t going to hurt his chances.
Race 5. (13:35) Queensland Guineas (1600m)
#5 – Kolding @ $3 – Bet Now
Kolding has really come of age this season and considering James McDonald has been booked to ride, he’s clearly Waller’s best chance.
The three-year-old has rattled off three consecutive wins this campaign and he scored effortlessly at Randwick by 1.8 lengths last start.
He’s very capable of producing another win and the $3 is a fair price from bookmakers.
Race 9. (16:15) Lexus Brisbane Cup (2400m)
#3 – Sixties Groove @ $3.60 – Bet Now
Sixties Groove is nearing a big performance after placing in all three runs this preparation and it could come here.
The Kris Lees-trained runner finished second behind Kenedna last time out and that form is going to stack up nicely in this.
Drawing barrier 17 might put some punters off but he’ll settle back in the run and Damien Oliver has been riding well this season.
