Eagle Farm horse racing tips & form

Race 1. (13:38) Mount Franklin Maiden (1200m)

#1 – Boom Court – Bet @ Sportsbet

Boom Court has race day experience after finishing fifth on debut at Doomben and that form could stack up nicely.

The two-year-old gelding wasn’t far behind the winner at each-way odds and he has since won a trial at Doomben by two lengths.

We expect the son of Spirit of Boom to be right in the mix.

Race 2. (14:13) Tab Venue Mode Maiden (1200m)

#3 – Kirsten – Bet @ Sportsbet

Kirsten has been prepared with two trials, including a second placing at Gold Coast.

The daughter of Capitalist looks ready to fire and she’s bred to show early speed, so she could ping the barriers and lead throughout.

Betting will provide punters with a good guide of her chances.

Race 3. (14:48) Peachester Lodge Maiden (1400m)

#2 – Realaide – Bet @ Sportsbet

Realaide is threatening to win a race after three placings from nine starts, which could be good enough to win this maiden.

The three-year-old son of Real Saga comes off a placing in a small field at Sunshine Coast and that holds her in good stead.

Getting the inside draw is ideal and the 2kg claim is another bonus.

Race 4. (15:23) Sky Racing C3 Handicap (1500m)

#1 – Duke of Buckingham – Bet @ Sportsbet

Duke of Buckingham isn’t the most consistent type going around, but the son of Street Boss has the class edge.

The four-year-old won two back at Ballina by two lengths before finishing sixth at Sunshine Coast, but he’s much better than that.

Dropping 2kg with the apprentice claim helps and he could add value to selections.

Race 5. (15:58) Tab Stradbroke Calcutta BM68 (1800m)

#7 – Edmonton – Bet @ Sportsbet

Searching for three consecutive wins is Edmonton, who won at Gold Coast before winning at Sunshine Coast.

The three-year-old gelding is heading in the right direction after a slow start to his career and he could rise another level.

We expect most of the money will come his way, so expect short odds.

Race 6. (16:33) Dbvms Air Conditioning BM70 (1000m)

#3 – Mischief Managed – Bet @ Sportsbet

Mischief Managed is getting close to a win after back-to-back placing and we’re in her camp.

The four-year-old mare by Spill the Beans is a professional four-time winner from 13 starts and she also has six placings.

She only needs to jump well from barrier eight to be right around the mark.

Race 7. (17:10) XXXX Dry C1 Plate (1400m)

#10 – Teranga – Bet @ Sportsbet

The three-year-old filly by Sebring enjoyed the heavy track on debut when winning by a nose and a similar effort takes her close.

She should appreciate the firmer conditions on Wednesday and having over a month between her runs could be a positive.

Receiving barrier 13 could make it tough, but watch for late betting moves.
