Eagle Farm horse racing tips & form

Race 1. (13:53) XXXX Dry Maiden (1200m)

#1 – Divine Eleven – Bet Now

The Matthew Dunn-trained gelding has had the benefit of three race day starts, which should help here.

He’s a three-year-old gelding that ran second on this track last November, before running fourth at Sunshine Coast.

The son of Redoute’s Choice has had two trials to prepare, so include.

Race 2. (14:28) Eva Air Maiden (1300m)

#2 – Doctor Costello – Bet Now

The two-year-old colt didn’t do much wrong when running second at Toowoomba on debut.

He is a son of Sizzling that paid $17 on debut, but he should run at shorter odds this time around against the small field.

Getting the inside draw is ideal, so expect a good run throughout.

Race 3. (15:03) Kirin Maiden Plate (1200m)

#7 – Lady Melba – Bet Now

Lady Melba is coming off consecutive second placings, and that form should stack up nicely.

The three-year-old filly ran second at Gold Coast before running second at Doomben, so that’s good form coming into this race.

She’s a daughter of Showcasing that should be fighting out the finish, so take the odds on offer and include her in your selections.

Race 4. (15:38) Gallopers Sports Club C6 Handicap (1400m)

#1 – Pleased – Bet Now

Six-year-old gelding Pleased is an experienced type that has fresh up form. He has had five fresh up runs for a win and two placings, which stacks up well for this race.

Facing only a field of six runners, Pleased could add to his record of six wins, and he has had two trials to prepare for this run.

He just needs some early luck from the draw to figure in the finish.

Race 5. (16:13) Souths Sports Club Maiden (1200m)

#1 – Angus the Black – Bet Now

Angus the Black is a three-year-old that finished off nicely to run third at Doomben last time out.

The son of Rothesay held his ground nicely in the straight and that came behind some nice types.

He paid good odds for that run, but he’s not facing a strong field here. Therefore, we’re expecting another tidy effort.

Race 6. (16:48) Treasury Brisbane C2 Handicap (1600m)

#1 – Fairy Me Home – Bet Now

Chris Waller lines up the four-year-old gelding that ran well for third at Doomben last start. He should have won, but jockey Robbie Fradd took a while to clear a pocket.

He has finished in the money in nine of his 14 starts, so there’s good consistency there and he could run at value odds.

Racing at Eagle Farm for the first time should help him, as it’s a wide-open track.

Race 7. (17:23) Lexus R70 Handicap (1200m)

#9 – Okeechobee – Bet Now

David Vandyke lines up the three-year-old filly, which scored back-to-back wins at Sunshine Coast.

The daughter of Sebring made good ground to score last start, and she seems to handle all track conditions.

Drawing barrier 14 isn’t ideal, but carrying 54kg should see her fighting out the finish.

Race 8. (17:58) Tab Handicap (1200m)

#7 – Solar Star – Bet Now

Tony Gollan lines up the six-time winner, which placed at her only start at Eagle Farm. She has been racing against some nice types throughout her career, and this isn’t any harder.

Having six wins to her name after only 18 starts is a credit to her ability. We should be able to see that ability shine through in the last race.

Punters might get value odds.
