Eagle Farm horse racing tips
Race 1. (13:23) Events @ BRC C6 Handicap (1830m)
#5 – The Kingdom @ $1.95 – Bet Now
The Kingdom is in fine form after rattling off three consecutive victories. He is a four-year-old that has won six of his 18 starts, including three in a row at Eagle Farm.
It was a narrow victory last start but he remains down in the weights and that’s going to be a big factor. The odds are short but well worth taking.
Race 2. (13:58) Anzac Day Races BM70 (1300m)
#12 – Ingear @ $1.75 – Bet Now
Punters will have to take an odds-on quote again but Ingear should be too good for them. The three-year-old filly won by 2.3 lengths when leading throughout the race last start, so she’s a classy type.
She should have won more than two races but found herself in some unfortunate decisions. However, if she’s ridden positively again, she shouldn’t have any problems putting this field away.
Race 3. (14:37) Pink Picnic 19th April Handicap (1300m)
#10 – Redoute’s Image @ $2.90 – Bet Now
Redoute’s Image was beaten last start but the filly has plenty of upside. It was her second placing from three starts and although she faces race winners here, she will be competitive.
Rising in distance is the biggest positive factor, as she’s by Redoute’s Choice, and the 1300m looks ideal.
She gets the inside draw and Larry Cassidy in the saddle.
Race 4. (15:17) Family Raceday C3 Plate (1000m)
#8 – Rucca @ $2.15 – Bet Now
Team Edmonds lines up the impressive colt that has shown glimpses of top-level form. The son of Rubick started his career with a win at Ipswich and was good enough to go to Moonee Valley and win.
His most recent run came behind Exceedance at Group 1 level during the Melbourne Spring Carnival, bur he was never going to measure up to that level.
It’s a much easier level of racing here and he could take advantage.
Race 5. (15:57) Olivia’s Raceday 28th March BM75 (1600m)
#7 – Slow Hands @ $3.40 – Bet Now
Slow Hands is an extremely consistent runner that went within a nose of winning at Eagle Farm last time out. It was his 12th win or placing from 21 starts, so the consistency is certainly there.
He has yet to win from five attempts on this track, but he owns four second placings. He’s a good each-way bet here and we think he could get the job done nicely.
Race 6. (16:37) Paddyfest 14th March BM75 (2200m)
#11 – Twilighter @ $7 – Bet Now
Twilighter has the class to win a race like this, but she does need some luck in the run. The five-year-old gets back during the run and relies on luck, but she owns a good turn-of-foot to her credit.
She scored a win on this track two starts back when she settled much closer to the pace, so she might adopt similar tactics this time around.
$7 is worth taking in an even market.
Race 7. (17:13) The Society Rooftop Handicap (1200m)
#5 – Boomtown Lass @ $4.40 – Bet Now
Boomtown Lass is rarely too far away from the prize and she could provide punters with great each-way value. She is a four-time winner from 18 starts, but she also has eight minor placings.
Her most recent win came at Doomben in November and she has since run two placings from four starts. Drawing barrier 12 won’t make it easy over this distance, but she’s worth backing in here at each-way odds.
Race 8. (17:50) Tab Handicap (1400m)
#6 – Emerald Kingdom @ $1.80 – Bet Now
Gunning for his fifth consecutive win is Emerald Kingdom, which has looked incredible over the last two months. The five-year-old is a six-time winner that is unbeaten from two starts at Eagle Farm.
He faces a harder field here but dropping from 57.5kg to 54kg is going to help. Robbie Fradd sticks with him and although the odds are short, he’s worth backing again.
Race 9. (18:30) Moet & Chandon Chairman’s Club (1400m)
#2 – Star of Michelin @ $3.50 – Bet Now
It was a good return from a spell last start when he finished second at Eagle Farm. The three-year-old is a two-time winner on this track and he looks to have a nice future ahead of him.
The son of Jet Spur gets every chance from an inside draw and he might settle closer to the pace compared to his most recent effort.
$3.50 is a fair price from bookmakers.
