Eagle Farm Racing Tips for Saturday, May 2nd 2026

#12 – Zoufani @ $5.50

Punters get each-way odds in the opener with Zoufani, who is nearing a win after three consecutive placings.

The four-year-old mare by Zousain owns two wins and six placings from nine starts, so she has missed the money only once.

She gets the inside draw, so expect a tidy effort.

#2 – Autumn Winter @ $3.00

Autumn Winter is gunning for three consecutive wins after scoring at Wyong and Warwick Farm.

The Matthew Smith-trained runner looks well-suited to racing in Queensland, and he’s being set for the winter carnival.

#10 – Balance the Books @ $3.70

It looked like Balance the Books needed the run fresh up, and although disappointing, improvement is likely.

The Tony Gollan-trained mare owns three wins from five starts, and if she’s anywhere near her best, she should run well against this field.

Race 4. (13:48) Magic Millions BM90 (1825m)

#5 – Mr Buster @ $10.00

There is good value with Mr Buster, who won well fresh up before finishing sixth last time out.

The Ciaron Maher-trained gelding didn’t fire, but he could have suffered from second-up syndrome, which was his first defeat at Eagle Farm.

Punters should expect a bounce back effort.

#2 – Icarian Dream @ $3.20

Class is with Icarian Dream, who gets a good chance to return to winning form this week.

The three-year-old filly by Blue Point showed good form as a youngster, and she has yet to finish worse than third at Eagle Farm.

It’s an even field, and she could take advantage as the favourite.

Race 6. (14:58) Seven Dalrello Stakes (1000m)

#3 – The Next Episode @ $1.65

The odds are short, but The Next Episode should put this field away after running second in Group 3 company at Randwick.

The expensive purchase has since on a trial at Doomben to prepare for this race, and we expect him to settle back and power over the top of them.

#2 – Brave Monarch @ $1.85

We were on Brave Monarch when winning by 2.3 lengths last start, and there is no reason to jump off his back.

The three-year-old son of Brave Smash improved his record to four wins from six starts, and he has excuses in his two defeats.

He’s another runner worth including in multi bets.

Race 8. (16:13) Ladbrokes Victory Stakes (1200m)

#4 – Private Harry @ $3.10

Private Harry is a five-time winner from seven starts, and although beaten twice last prep, they came behind Joliestar and Briasa.

He is a genuine Group 1 contender, and he should be ready to run a big race on Saturday, so we thought the odds would be shorter.

We priced him at $2.20, and the change to Chris Waller’s stable only helps.

Race 9. (16:50) Sky Racing BM85 (1400m)

#14 – Cosmo Centaurus @ $4.00

Cosmo Centaurus was too good for them last time out at Eagle Farm, and he could make it back-to-back wins.

The four-year-old son of Cosmic Force is a four-time winner from 13 starts, so the strike rate is good, and barrier two makes him tough to hold out.
