Eagle Farm horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (12:28) Thoroughbred Racing History Maiden (1200m)
#2 – Charm Bracelet – Bet @ Sportsbet
The three-year-old filly comes off back-to-back placings and she was only a half-length behind them last start.
She gets the inside draw and 3kg off her back, so there will be no excuses for a defeat. Punters should get value odds and she looks the hardest to beat.
Race 2. (13:03) Mount Franklin Maiden Handicap (1200m)
#3 – Kipchoge – Bet @ Sportsbet
Punters haven’t had the best of luck with Kipchoge, but he gets another good chance to break through.
The Tony Gollan-trained three-year-old owns four placings from six starts and he has shown good barrier speed in the past.
Barrier 10 is the only worry, but expect speed from the gate.
Race 3. (13:38) Tab Venue Mode C1 Plate (1400m)
#8 – Alignment – Bet @ Sportsbet
Alignment is a four-year-old mare that owns a win and four placings from nine starts. She comes off a fourth at Eagle Farm where she was only 1.6 lengths behind the winner.
Drawing the inside barrier is ideal and she has run well at this track and distance in the past, so expect another tidy effort.
It could pay to watch betting moves on race day.
Race 4. (14:15) Sky Racing BM85 (1400m)
#8 – Dubai Tycoon – Bet @ Sportsbet
The five-year-old gelding comes off some tough efforts in New South Wales and he will find this much easier.
He is a five-time winner from 19 starts and three of them have come at this distance. Getting 3kg off his back is ideal and carrying 51kg is a steal.
Punters should expect a bounce-back effort.
Race 5. (14:53) Stradbroke Season on Sale Handicap (1845m)
#8 – Fortified – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Chris Waller-trained three-year-old has made a positive start to his career with a win and two placings.
He is a Kiwi-bred son of Ocean Park that finished second at Sunshine Coast last start and that should be a good form guide this season.
Barrier two and 55.5kg helps.
Race 6. (17:30) Carnival Plus Membership C2 (1000m)
#1 – Bold Hunter – Bet @ Sportsbet
The four-year-old is fresh up and he won his only fresh up starts on debut. He comes off a busy campaign that included 14 runs and the break should have done him some good.
The son of Spirit of Boom owns two wins and eight placings, so he is rarely too far away from the prize.
Punters should get each-way odds.
Race 7. (18:07) Canadian Club BM80 (1000m)
#10 – Blue Odyssey – Bet @ Sportsbet
The four-year-old scored back-to-back wins earlier this preparation before running third at Ipswich last start.
He is a smart type that is having his first start on the track, but he should be suited by the longer straight.
Punters could get value odds and he’s well worth backing.
Race 8. (18:45) Gallopers Sports Club C3 (1600m)
#4 – Man of Sinn – Bet @ Sportsbet
Man of Sinn finished fourth at Eagle Farm last start and although it came in a small field, he should have appreciated the run.
The Waller-trained four-year-old was under a length behind the winner and facing a bigger field should suit. He likes to track the speed and we’re expecting a solid effort on Wednesday.
It’s not an easy field so punters should expect value odds.
