Eagle Farm horse racing tips

Race 1. (12:30) TAB Handicap (1000m)

#1 – Spirit One @ $3.20 – Bet Now

Two-year-old filly Spirit One did well to run second on debut at Eagle Farm and she has improvement to come.

She paid $21 on that occasion and although beaten by Gotta Kiss, the form out of that race should hold up nicely.

Bookmakers are respecting her chances at $3.20 and that price could drop.

Race 2. (13:07) Suz Pro Skips BM80 (2400m)

#3 – Lord Gododdin @ $3.80 – Bet Now

Good enough to win at Doomben three back and although beaten since, he has been taking on strong fields since.

The four-year-old by Camelot ran fourth at Rosehill and then fifth at Randwick. Returning to Queensland should help his chances and this isn’t a deep field.

Robbie Fradd rides and support should come on race day.

Race 3. (13:43) Driver Recruitment BM70 (1815m)

#4 – Amicita @ $5.50 – Bet Now

Four-year-old mare Amicita could return to form after running on nicely to finish fifth at Eagle Farm last start.

The daughter of Rothesay was a consecutive winner prior to that when scoring at Sunshine Coast and Ipswich. That form would take her close here and she can get back to that form.

Punters are getting $5.50 and those odds are well worth taking.

Race 4. (14:18) Austrans Handicap (1815m)

#4 – Alward @ $4.20 – Bet Now

Chris Waller lines up the six-year-old gelding which ran close when second at Eagle Farm last time out.

The son of Aqlaam was a winner three back at Gold Coast and his Sydney form should stack up nicely at this level.

Looks likely to break through for the win again soon so don’t discount in this.

Race 5. (14:53) Superior Park Handicap (1600m)

#6 – Cellarmaid @ $3.10 – Bet Now

Kelly Schweida lines up the three-year-old filly which scored her maiden win last time out.

That came at Doomben by a narrow margin but she looked impressively and she could rise through the grades now.

Drawing barrier three is going to help her cause and carrying 55kg is another positive.

Looms as a top winning chance.

Race 6. (15:28) Nugrow C3 Plate (1400m)

#6 – Aeecee Tong De @ $3.40 – Bet Now

Five-year-old mare Aeecee Tong De was a beaten favourite last start but certainly not disgraced.

The Desleigh Forster-trained mare finished 2.3 lengths behind the winner but track conditions weren’t favourable on that occasion.

This is a relatively even field and she could take advantage of that.

Race 7. (16:03) Bucher Municipal C6 (1600m)

#11 – Red Stina @ $4.20 – Bet Now

Red Stina might need some luck to win this but there is good betting support and she should run nicely.

The four-year-old mare has finished in the money in nine of her 15 starts and with only 54kg on her back, she could fire up.

Likes to get back in the run so expect her to be firing late in the race.

Race 8. (16:47) Suez Recycling & Recovery C6 (1200m)

#6 – Tambo’s Mate @ $2.50 – Bet Now

Tambo’s Mate has a nice future and with five wins from nine starts, he has shown good professionalism.

The four-year-old by Mossman scored by a narrow margin last start but that came against a hot field and he will only strengthen up from that.

Getting the inside draw is ideal and we’re expecting another tidy showing.

Race 9. (17:32) Tomra Handicap (1000m)

#4 – Meet Mr Taylor @ $2.20 – Bet Now

Meet Mr Taylor was beaten last start but he didn’t lose any admirers with the effort.

He’s an eight-time winner from 11 starts which suffered from second-up syndrome and he shouldn’t be overlooked here.

$2.20 is a fair price from bookmakers and he could start as the odds-on favourite.

Race 10. (18:12) Melbourne Cup @ Eagle Farm BM70 (1200m)

#5 – Hollaback Girl @ $5 – Bet Now

Hollaback Girl is a last-start winner which scored by 1.3 lengths last start and could kick on with it now.

The Tony Gollan-trained mare is a three-time winner from seven starts and she just needs some luck from out wide.

Drawing barrier 13 isn’t ideal but with some luck, she’ll be right in the finish.
