Eagle Farm horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (12:33) Tab Long May We Play BM70 (1400m)
#2 – Super Effort – Bet Now
Chris Waller lines up Super Effort, which looks to have the class edge on this field. He scored on debut at Sunshine Coast before running third behind Acrobatic in open class grade.
Acrobatic has since finished second behind Kisukano, so that form stacks up terrifically for a midweek race.
The field of only five helps Super Effort and he should be too strong.
Race 2. (13:08) Alcoyne Hotel & Residence BM70 (2206m)
#2 – Neptune’s Choice – Bet Now
Neptune’s Choice is gunning for his third consecutive win after posting victories at Sunshine Coast and Ipswich.
The four-year-old son of Kingman has turned his form around nicely and his most recent win came by three lengths.
He has yet to fire in two runs at Eagle Farm but this race is there for the taking.
Race 3. (13:43) XXXX Dry Maiden (1000m)
#10 – Dream Weaving – Bet Now
Dream Weaving is getting closer to a win after posting three placings from her first three starts.
The Jason Edwards-trained filly finished a nose behind the winner at Ipswich last start and there is plenty to like about that form.
She is a daughter of Dream Ahead that gets in nicely on the weights and she looks ready to win.
Race 4. (14:18) BRC Spring Carnival On Sale C4 (1200m)
#4 – Fasano – Bet Now
Fasano is the class runner of this field and that class should show up at this level. The Robert Heathcote-trained gelding has done a lot of his racing in Sydney, behind the likes of Subpoenaed and Enfleurage.
The son of Lonhro won his only start at Eagle Farm last season when scoring narrowly in March and he is a two-time winner at this distance.
Expect a top effort from Fasano against this level of opposition.
Race 5. (14:53) Eva Air C3 Handicap (1600m)
#3 – Wowsers – Bet Now
Wowsers has turned around his form with back-to-back victories at Ipswich and that form stacks up nicely for this race.
The Chris Munce-trained four-year-old wasn’t in great form prior to those wins but the turnaround in form was good to see.
He could keep racing well this Wednesday and add his fourth career win to his record.
Race 6. (15:28) BRC Like Nowhere Else Maiden (1400m)
#2 – Loud Noise – Bet Now
Loud Noise is getting close to a win after consecutive second placings and he should go close once again here.
The son of Spirit of Boom finished a half-head behind the winner after sitting on the pace. He enjoys sitting on the pace and that bodes well for this race.
Expect jockey Sean Cormack to position him on the pace once again.
Race 7. (16:03) Tab Long May We Play BM68 (1400m)
#7 – Toomai – Bet Now
Toomai is coming off a win at Gold Coast and she could go back-to-back. The Waller-trained mare won by a length and she could rise through the grades now.
All three of her career wins have come at this distance and with Luke Dittman in the saddle, she should get the benefit of a good ride.
Expect each-way odds from bookmakers.
Race 8. (16:38) Cascade R70 Handicap (1000m)
#2 – Sertin – Bet Now
Sertin has been in a winning mood this preparation with three wins from four starts. The Sears-trained gelding scored by a half-length at Ipswich last start and he should go well again.
This is his first start at Eagle Farm but with a record of four wins and three placings from 10 starts, he is hard to ignore.
He gets weight off his back and that is another positive.
