Eagle Farm horse racing tips

Race 1. (11:48) Edward Street C3 (1800m)

#8 – Aswaat – Bet @ Sportsbet

Aswaat is looking to go back-to-back after winning at Sunshine Coast by a length last time out.

The four-year-old mare has finished in the money in six of her 10 career starts, which is a good record, and she could add to it.

Dropping to 52.5kg is ideal, so expect another top run.

Race 2. (12:23) 97.3FM Qtis Handicap (1600m)

#2 – Sargent Silva – Bet @ Sportsbet

Shooting for three wins on the bounce is Sargent Silva, who won both starts at Sunshine Coast.

The Robert Heathcote-trained son of Top Echelon has turned his form around smartly and drawing barrier three should see him right in contention.

Punters should expect each-way odds on race day.

Race 3. (12:58) Impressu Print Group BM80 (1600m)

#6 – Adelase – Bet @ Sportsbet

Adelase is a five-year-old mare that owns four wins and nine placings from 19 starts, so she is rarely too far away from the prize.

The daughter of Poet’s Voice has yet to win at Eagle Farm from three attempts, but she owns two second placings and that form is good enough.

Carrying 55kg is ideal and this is her pet distance.

Race 4. (13:33) TRC Life Members BM78 (2200m)

#2 – Honorable Spirit – Bet @ Sportsbet

The five-year-old son of Charm Spirit has won three of his last four starts, so he’s in winning form and can kick on with it.

He is a six-time winner overall, and the improving track only adds to his appeal. He owns three wins and two placings on good tracks, which bodes well.

Jaden Lloyd takes 3kg off his back.

Race 5. (14:08) Sky Racing C6 Handicap (1000m)

#4 – Je Suis Belle – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Currie-trained five-year-old is a professional six-time winner who has scored five of those wins at this distance.

He has yet to run worse than third in three attempts at Eagle Farm, which is typically a horses-for-courses circuit.

Barrier one is ideal, and punters should expect another top effort.

Race 6. (14:43) Des Lambart Memorial BM85 (1200m)

#1 – Junction – Bet @ Sportsbet

Junction hasn’t been able to win recently, but the seven-year-old gelding meets an even field this Saturday.

The son of Real Saga owns four wins at this distance, and he does all his best racing on good surfaces, so conditions are ideal here.

We’re expecting bookmakers to have him at short odds.

Race 7. (15:22) Eureka Stud BM72 (1200m)

#4 – Ingear – Bet @ Sportsbet

The five-year-old mare is only a three-time winner from 15 starts, but she should have more than that.

She is a daughter of Dissident that runs her best races at Eagle Farm, including two wins and three placings.

Good track conditions are ideal and running fresh up is ideal.

Race 8. (16:02) Tattersalls Members Handicap (1000m)

#3 – The Kewess @ $2.35 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Kewess owns two wins from four starts and he powered away for a 1.8-length win at Sunshine Coast last start.

He is a smart son of Super One that looks like a nice type for the future, so he’s worth sticking with at this level of racing.

He opened at $2.60 and it has been one-way action with bookmakers.

Race 9. (16:42) Emma Williams BM75 (1400m)

#3 – Dusty Tycoon @ $4.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Dusty Tycoon finished second behind Miami Fleiss last time out and there is little wrong with that form.

The four-year-old mare owns four wins and four placings from 13 starts, so she’s consistent and capable of putting this field to bed.

3kg comes off her back and punters get odds worth taking.
