Moonee Valley free tips & form

Race 1. (18:30) PKF BM64 (1500m)

#1 – Iconoclasm @ $2.45 – BET NOW

That was an impressive eight-length win last time out and he looks ready to win again.

The Darren Weir-trained three-year-old didn’t have everything go his way on debut at Terang when he ran wide, but he made good ground late and his real ability was shown last start.

There has been solid money for Iconoclasm throughout the week after opening at $2.60 and he could open the night with a bang.

Race 2. (19:00) Musk Creek Farm BM78 (1000m)

#4 – Freeze Over @ $3.20 – BET NOW

Freeze Over proved too tough for them on this track last start after travelling wide but still showing enough turn-of-foot to score.

The Ellerton/Zahra-trained three-year-old came into that race with a quality placing behind Booker under its belt and that form has since been franked at a high level.

Jumping from barrier seven could make it tough here with all the speed underneath her, but she deserves respect based on her last two performances and the odds are appealing here.

Race 3. (19:30) Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge (955m)

#6 – Quilista @ $2.45 – BET NOW

The four-year-old was a tragedy beaten at Moonee Valley last start when winding up a fraction too late for punters that took the short odds.

Trained by Darren Weir, the mare by Scandal Keeper has good form this season which includes a placing behind Snitty Kitty and Showpero.

She should get a great run from barrier three and if Ben Allen can get her off the rails in enough time, she should be too good for the opposition.

Race 6. (21:00) Beijing Capital Airlines BM64 (2040m)

#8– Vungers @ $4.20 – BET NOW

Vungers hasn’t been able to win in six starts this campaign, but he has been knocking on the door with five placings.

The four-year-old gelding placed in consecutive runs at Moonee Valley late last year and he looks suited to this grade.

He might have won only one from 13 career starts but his seven minor placings makes him a threat here and punters are getting solid each way odds.

Race 7. (21:30) Typhoon Tracy Stakes (1200m)

#1 – Tulip @ $3 – BET NOW

Lindsay Park lines up quality three-year-old Tulip, which taken on tough opposition throughout her entire career.

The two-time winner finished fourth behind Booker last start and that was a solid outing fresh up this campaign.

The daughter by Pierro scored a stunning victory this time last year and although she hasn’t won since, she will appreciate the drop in grade.

She has more upside than most in this field and she should take advantage.

Race 8. (22:00) Artvo BM70 (1200m)

#5 – Freehearted @ $2.60 – BET NOW

Freehearted has been in stellar form this season with three wins from four starts.

The Weir-trained four-year-old scored by 1.3 lengths at Sandown last start and although she has drawn wide in barrier 14 for this, see has good natural pace and she could cross down to the rails.

This field is no harder than what she has faced recently and punters should get around the $2.60-$2.80 mark.
