It’s a huge day of racing this Saturday with the Group 1 C.F. Orr Stakes at Caulfield and the inaugural $2 million Inglis Millennium at Warwick Farm.
There are 18 quality races between the two meetings and we have free tips and form for the best races this Saturday.
Caulfield free tips & form
Race 2. (13:10) Kevin Hayes Stakes (1200m)
#3 – Crack The Code @ $2.90 – BET NOW
Got the job done narrowly last start and although she wasn’t overly strong to the line, she should have the measure of this field.
The three-year-old filly has now won three of her four starts and punters are getting better odds than the $1.80 that was offered at Caulfield last time out.
Drawing barrier four helps and she should be right around the mark again.
Race 4. (14:20) Schweppes Rubiton Stakes (1100m)
#2 – Nature Strip @ $1.50 – BET NOW
Racing for his fifth stable in 13 starts, the former Darren Weir-trained sprinter is now with Chris Waller and that’s not going to hurt his chances.
The dynamic winner of eight of 12 starts has speed to burn and getting the inside draw is only going to make it harder for his rivals.
Jungle Edge could apply some pressure up front but he should get things going his way and be too slick for them in the finish.
Race 5. (14:55) Blue Diamond Prelude C&G (1100m)
#3 – Aussie @ $8 – BET NOW
Not an easy race to sort out but Sydney juvenile form always stacks up better than Melboune and Aussie brings in a strong placing to boast.
The Snowden-trained colt ran second behind Dawn Passage and although 3.3 lengths behind the winner, he will only get better with more racing under his belt.
Given the difference in price of the favourite ($2.75) and Aussie at $8, there’s great value with those odds.
Race 6. (15:30) Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Prelude Fillies (1100m)
#1 – Catch Me @ $2.90 – BET NOW
Peter and Paul Snowden line up the talented two-year-old filly which is unbeaten after two runs, including one on this track last start.
The filly by I Am Invincible scored nicely by a length last start and she’s one of the favourites for the Blue Diamond Stakes at the end of the month.
Brooklyn Hustle is a serious type but the barrier draws play a big part and its heavily favoured towards Catch Me.
Race 9. (17:30) Carlyon Cup (1600m)
#4 – Avilius @ $2.70 – BET NOW
Looking to bounce back after an unlucky run in the Melbourne Cup, Avilius is a good chance to win fresh up in the Carlyon Cup at Caulfield.
Trained by James Cummings, the imported stayer scored when resuming last preparation and he has the capabilities to put this field away with ease.
He will get better throughout the preparation but many of these are looking for more ground and he is steady at the mile.
Warwick Farm free tips and form
Race 1. (12:50) Darley Lonhro Plate (1100m)
#1 – Time To Reign @ $1.80 – BET NOW
Unbeaten from two starts, the Gary Portelli-trained colt has looked the goods so far and although drawing barrier eight isn’t ideal, he has the class edge.
His first win came by 2.3 lengths and he backed that up with another stellar effort at Rosehill when beating some of his race rivals here.
Punters will have to take the short odds but he looks a good bet in the opening race.
Race 2. (13:30) Tab Highway Handicap C2 (1200m)
#2 – Noble Boy @ $1.90 – BET NOW
Looking to score his fourth win from four starts, Noble Boy should have too much class for this Highway Handicap field.
The son of Bon Hoffa has comfortably won all three starts and punters have launched into his opening price of $2.10.
Hugh Bowman replaces James McDonald in the saddle and that’s hardly a negative.
Race 4. (14:40) Aquis Farm Eskimo Prince Stakes (1200m)
#2 – Brutal @ $2.05 – BET NOW
Brutal looked the goods when winning all three races last campaign and he beat some smart types in the process.
The Team Hawkes-trained son of O’Reilly didn’t race away and put lengths on his opposition, but he fought resolutely when winning at three different courses in Melbourne and that’s a big positive for this.
$2.05 is about as short as we would to take but he’s a nice type which has a group win in store.
Race 5. (15:15) Inglis Sprint 3YO (1100m)
#7 – Estijaab @ $3.70 – BET NOW
It’s tough to bet against a Golden Slipper winner and the daughter by Snitzel should hit the ground running as a three-year-old.
She hasn’t raced in almost a year and that’s the negative aspect about her this Saturday, but she has any amount of ability and punters are getting a good price for the risk.
Carrying 54kg helps and if there’s any late money for her, it could pay to follow it.
Race 8. (17:10) Bowness Stud Mile (1600m)
#8 – New Universe @ $4.60 – BET NOW
The Darci Brahma gelding finally returned to the winners’ enclosure last time out with a two-length win at Randwick.
Chris Waller no doubt had some frustrating times with the five-year-old but loyal punters got paid off last start and he could continue winning now that the confidence is back up.
Dropping in weight from 57.5kg to 53kg is only going to help his cause.
