The three-year-old son of Exceed and Excel wasn’t too far away at Flemington last start and getting 53.5kg could see his turn-of-foot return.

Patrick Payne lines up Bold Soul, who has been testing punters patience this preparation, but he’s nearing a win.
The five-year-old gelding by Embellish is a three-time winner at Flemington, and although yet to win in soft conditions, he has been close.

A betting move has come for Think Giant, who is a former German runner who will improve with a run under his belt in Australia.
It was a solid effort for seventh at Caulfield, and rising from 1700m to 2000m will only help his chances of success.

Next Step Iowa was beaten last time out, but it was a tidy effort for third, and she could bounce back in a big way.
