Party Crasher appeared to have needed the fresh up run at Murray Bridge, but we’re happy to see him run at Flemington.
The four-year-old gelding should love the lengthy straight, and he wants time to wind up. That’s why we’re backing him at each-way odds.
He could score a minor upset against an even field.
Stake: 1 Unit
Champagne Hero was disappointing in the Spring Champion Stakes last week, but being on the quick back-up is an interesting tactic.

He opened at $6, so we’re not alone in our thinking.

We’re happy with the double-figure odds for Don Diego De Vega, who ran fourth in the Bendigo Cup, but he’s better than that.
Having plenty of miles under his belt is only going to help his chances, and getting to 2800m should be right up his alley.
He gets a cushy run off the inside, which is another positive.
Stake: 1 Unit

The four-year-old mare could have a bright future, and getting into this race with 55kg should make her tough to beat off the front.

Stake: 3 Units
Sabaj is one of our better bets on the Melbourne Cup Day, and punters must wait till the final race.
The four-year-old gelding owns three wins and two second placings, and he didn’t get all favours behind Linebacker in a hot race at Randwick
That is Group 1 form, and he should put this field away on Tuesday.
