10/12/21 – Friday Horse Racing Tips

We have expert betting tips for the cards this Friday at Moonee Valley and Canterbury.

There is plenty of value available with bookmakers at the Friday meetings and we have our best bets across the cards.

All odds are with Sportsbet – our No. 1 rated bookmaker. You can join Sportsbet by clicking HERE.

The Valley

Race 1. (18:10) Front Runner Membership BM64 (1600m)

#5 – Lady Court @ $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Lady Court looked the goods on debut when scoring at Pakenham and she could kick on with it.

The three-year-old daughter of American Pharoah paid $26 to win on debut, so we’re not surprised to see much shorter odds this time around.

Barrier four is ideal and she could get punters off to a winning start on Friday night.

Race 3. (18:10) The Jodie Burgess Memorial Maiden (1200m)

#6 – Treporti @ $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looking to cap off consistent form is Treporti, who has rattled off four consecutive placings and five from seven starts overall.

The three-year-old son of I Am Invincible was only 1.3 lengths behind Squid Game last start, who looks like a nice type in the making.

Having Damien Oliver in the saddle helps, so stick with him.

Race 4. (19:40) Tote Bar & Dining BM70 (2040m)

#7 – Sacred Lass @ $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

We thought Sacred Lass was desperately unlucky not to win at Moonee Valley last start when having to wait for a gap in the straight.

The five-year-old mare by Sacred Falls only missed by a nose, which was a gallant effort considering the circumstances.

Dropping to 54.5kg is ideal and we think she’s a great bet.

Race 7. (21:10) Absolute Plants/Landscape BM70 (2040m)

#5 – Laundy – $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Punters stuck with Landy last start and it paid off. The five-year-old gelding scored a solid win at Moonee Valley and we like his chances of going back-to-back.

He is a four-time winner and six-time placegetter from 20 starts, so he doesn’t know how to run a bad race.

He has yet to finish worse than second at the track, so he gets our support on Friday night.

Canterbury

Race 2. (18:30) Tab Maiden (1100m)

#6 – Party for One @ $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Party for One improved nicely when running third at Canterbury fresh up and the experience does her the world of good.

The Joe Pride-trained three-year-old hit the line nicely in heavy track conditions and she should appreciate the slight ease in conditions.

Drawing wide won’t be an issue and the $4.80 odds are generous.

Race 3. (19:00) Sharp Extensive It Maiden Handicap (1250m)

#1 – Broken Hill @ $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Broken Hill finished third behind Rebel Shadow and Barrichello on debut, which is a good form guide.

The three-year-old colt by Lonhro followed up some solid trial form, which included a win at Warwick Farm.

Drawing the inside barrier with Hugh Bowman riding could tip the scales in his favour.

Race 5. (20:00) The Agency Real Estate BM72 (1100m)

#2 – Conscript @ $3.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Conscript is searching for three wins on the bounce after scoring at Newcastle and Gosford. The four-year-old dug deep to win last start, which is a positive.

He should get every chance to sit on the pace and show fight again after drawing the inside draw. He also gets a 3kg claimer in the saddle to help.

After opening at $4, his odds have firmed and they’re likely to continue to firm.

Race 8. (21:30) Minister Kevin Anderson BM72 (1250m)

#7 – Miracle Day @ $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Miracle Day was far too good for them when winning by 3.3 lengths at Newcastle last time out.

The Lees-trained four-year-old owns two wins and four placings from eight starts, so he doesn’t know how to run a bad race.

It’s another good ride for Bowman, who could have a successful night.
