The Valley

Race 2. (18:45) The Rokon Civil Maiden (1200m)

#10 – Indy Rose Warrior @ $3.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Indy Rose Warrior did well in her Australian debut when running second at Moonee Valley.

The former Kiwi filly showed good fight all the way to the line behind Spirit of Giving, which should be good form for this race.

It’s good to see betting support come for her again.

Race 3. (19:15) Ladbroke It BM70 (1600m)

#1 – Riotous Mischief @ $3.10 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The six-year-old mare has been in excellent form after winning three consecutive races this season.

She scored by a narrow margin at Morphettville last time out and that form should stack up nicely in Melbourne.

Getting a 3kg claimer to ride is ideal, so put her on top.

Race 6. (20:45) Orbit Logistics BM64 (1528m)

#11 – Soarhi @ $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Soarhi didn’t fire last time out at Sandown, but his win at Newcastle is a better form guide.

The three-year-old gelding scored by a length against a nice field on debut and if he’s anywhere near that level, he should be tough to beat.

There has been early betting support, which is a good sign.

Race 7. (21:15) Seppelt Wines BM64 (1200m)

#9 – Savannah Cloud – $3.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Savannah Cloud continues to run second, but the four-year-old gelding is good enough to win here.

The son of Savabeel has figured in the money in seven of his eight starts, including two second placings at Moonee Valley.

We’re happy with the value odds available for the favourite.

Randwick

Race 1. (14:55) Schweppes Maiden (1400m)

#6 – Finepoint @ $1.85 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Finepoint finished fourth on debut at Kembla Grange before improving to run second at Rosehill last start.

The Chris Waller-trained daughter of Pins was only 1.3 lengths behind the winner and we expect many winners to come out of that race.

James McDonald rides and she should handle the wet track.

Race 3. (16:10) Torie Finnane Foundation BM64 (1250m)

#5 – Socialist @ $2.35 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Socialist is fresh up after showing good form during her first preparation. She won at Canterbury three back and that came on a heavy surface.

The filly by Capitalist took on some tough opposition in Queensland following the win, so she should find this more to her liking.

It’s another good ride for McDonald, who could bounce back after a poor showing last Friday.

Race 5. (17:30) Precise Air BM72 (1250m)

#2 – Lady Brook @ $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Joe Pride lines up the five-year-old mare who is always around the mark from her 16 starts.

The daughter of Hinchinbrook owns five wins and six placings, so punters have made plenty off her. We think she’s a good chance to win again and the odds appeal.

Nash Rawiller rides and that should give punters confidence.

Race 7. (18:35) Hall Chadwick BM72 (1400m)

#12 – I Am Lethal @ $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

I Am Lethal won at Randwick two starts back before finishing well for fourth behind Born a King at Rosehill.

The three-year-old colt by I Am Invincible looks to have a bright future and he will get every chance from barrier six.

He opened at $7.50 and has been heavily backed into $4.20.
