We have expert betting tips for the cards this Friday at Swan Hill and Tamworth.
There is plenty of value on offer for punters and we have picked out the best races throughout the day on Friday.
Friday horse racing tips
Race 2. (13:00) Mildura Motor Holdings Maiden (1200m)
#8 – Villa Villekulla @ $3 – Bet Now
Patrick Payne lines up the three-year-old gelding that just went under on debut at Echuca.
The son of Kuroshio sat just off the pace and came with a late run but was too late on the line. He should benefit from the run and it bodes well for this race.
Drawing barrier 19 hurts so luck is needed, but put him on top at the price.
Race 3. (13:30) Tac Maiden Plate (1600m)
#4 – Legend of Zorro @ $2.45 – Bet Now
Legend of Zorro is getting close to a maiden win after posting consecutive second placings. Those came at Wangaratta and most recently Moonee Valley, which is a good form guide.
The three-year-old finished a nose behind Altimeter at The Valley and that form should hold up well for a Saturday-grade race.
Drawing the rail is ideal and Jye McNeil takes the ride.
Race 4. (14:00) The Big Screen Company BM58 (1600m)
#1 – Nova Way @ $8.50 – Bet Now
Trainer Austy Coffey always has a good strike rate training at Swan Hill and he lines up each-way chance Nova Way.
The four-year-old gelding is a two-time winner on this track and despite being lumped with a big weight, he gets an apprentice claim to help.
Expect a solid run from the home track specialist.
Race 8. (16:00) bet365 Mildura Cup (1300m)
#7 – Coming Around @ $3.10 – Bet Now
Coming Around is nominated for a stronger race on Saturday but it appears as though he is lining up at Swan Hill.
The Brent Stanley-trained four-year-old comes from Perth with a good record of five wins and five placings from 13 starts.
His opening odds of $4.20 have firmed significantly and we’re expecting to see more action come his way.
Race 1. (12:25) Allsopp Signs Maiden (1200m)
#1 – Vinaigrette @ $2.70 – Bet Now
The Stirling Osland-trained three-year-old has yet to win from 14 starts but she has gone awfully close on many occasions.
She enters this race with eight placings to her name and she went within 1.5 lengths of scoring at Tamworth two weeks ago.
Punters are getting a touch of value in win markets and she is worth following.
Race 2. (13:05) Off The Track NSW Maiden (1000m)
#4 – Rubic Honour @ $3.50 – Bet Now
There are some things going against Rubic Honour, such as drawing barrier 16 and rising up in weight from his last run, but he has plenty of upside.
The Cody Morgan-trained gelding has raced behind some smart types and although his best form has been at the trials, he could finally produce on race day.
Punters have climbed into his opening odds and that is worth noting.
Race 4. (14:20) The Parsee C2 Handicap (1200m)
#5 – Cool Missile @ $3.10 – Bet Now
Cool Missile has shown her versatility this campaign and it bodes well for this race. She finished off from the back of the field two back before attempting to lead throughout last start.
Her improved barrier speed holds her in good stead for this race and the daughter of Smart Missile is bred for speed.
$3.10 is worth taking and she should give punters a good sight.
Race 8. (16:50) Kosciuszko Tickets BM66 (1000m)
#1 – Liberty Sun @ $3.60 – Bet Now
Liberty Sun won two of his first three starts and although beaten since, he has been facing tough fields.
The four-year-old son of Statue of Liberty has been primed with recent trials and he hit the line well in those.
Carrying a big weight isn’t ideal but it doesn’t have much of an impact over 1000m.
