Geelong free tips & form
Race 1. (12:25) bet365 Official Price Maiden (1100m)
#2 – Think About Me @ $2.70 – Bet Now
Think About Me is on debut for Team Corstens and although there’s not much form to go on, the breeding is there.
The patiently-handled four-year-old is nicely bred and getting the inside draw is going to help his chances nicely.
This isn’t a strong field and he could make a winning debut.
Race 2. (13:00) No Fuss Event Hire Maiden (1500m)
#6 – Part Time Lover @ $2.50 – Bet Now
Improving with every run after finishing second at Sale last start and she could break through for the win here.
The Ellerton/Zahra-trained filly by Zoustar ran a length behind Collectable and getting an inside draw should see her land on the speed and kick strongly.
There’s staying lines throughout her breeding and that should show up here.
Race 3. (13:35) All Time Plumbing Maiden (1400m)
#3 – Pirelli @ $4.20 – Bet Now
The four-year-old has placed in three of his eight career starts and although he has yet to win, it’s only a matter of time.
He’s coming off a tough fourth at Bendigo behind a nice type in Brutal Power and form out of that race should stack up nicely.
He has drawn well in barrier three and that could make the difference.
Race 4. (14:10) Hyland Race Colours Maiden (1700m)
#4 – Dunmam @ $3 – Bet Now
He’s knocking on the door after running second at Benalla last time out and he will take good benefit from the run.
Maher/Eustace lines up the three-year-old son of Dundeel, which showed good form last preparation when placing behind the likes of Own Sweet Way and No Emotion.
That form should hold well for this and it’s about time he broke through for the win.
Race 5. (14:45) McGrath Estate Agents C1 (1200m)
#6 – Maid Equal @ $3 – Bet Now
Robbie Griffiths lines up the current favourite that has been primed with a recent trial win at Cranbourne.
The filly by Equiano was last seen running second at Morphettville in October last year and she showed good ability throughout that campaign.
She deserves another win and she has been nicely backed after opening up at $3.40.
Race 6. (15:20) Prestige Jayco BM64 (2400m)
#3 – Ayers Rock @ $5.50 – Bet Now
Punters will need to take Ayers Rock on trust as it has been a long time since the gelding won a race, but he should handle this distance better than most.
Early on in his career, Ayers Rock looked like a nice type and he has won over $230,000 in prize money. His recent form has been below his best but there’s not much competition in this field.
Bookmakers are respecting his ability.
Race 7. (15:55) Rex Gorell Family Group BM64 (2400m)
#4 – Rue De Rennes @ $4 – Bet Now
The Mike Moroney stables are firing at the moment and this four-year-old mare is coming off an impressive win at Geelong.
Prior to that she was finishing fourth at Moonee Valley behind Semari, which has subsequently run at Group 1 level.
She has plenty of ability and although this is a tough field, she has upside and is paying a nice price.
Race 8. (16:30) No Fuss Event Hire BM64 (1400m)
#10 – Scamper @ $7 – Bet Now
Scamper might not have the best form coming into this but she will be better for the two runs in this campaign.
The speedy filly by Fastnet Rock scored a maiden win at Yarra Valley late last year before running eighth behind Aristia in the VRC Oaks.
Clearly, she’s not at Oaks level but she could win here at nice odds.
Race 9. (17:05) bet365 Official Price BM70 (1100m)
#2 – Petrelle @ $1.65 – Bet Now
Punters will have to take the shorts on offer here but the mare should be winning. She’s coming back after running 12th behind Divine Quality at Group 3 level last start.
Prior to that she scored two wins to open her career. Those came by a combined margin of 5.8 lengths and she has obvious ability.
Short odds but she looks a safe bet.
