Misty Veil comes off three consecutive placings, including a tidy second placing behind the talented Ice Kool last time out.
The three-year-old filly is bred to be better than average and getting Jamie Melham in the saddle from a good draw helps.
We expect her to settle handy and kick well.

Revolt’s chances haven’t improved with the wide barrier draw, but the four-year-old gelding is a proven winner at the country level.
The son of Russian Revolution owns seven wins from 10 starts, including winning all six races last prep, so the form is on the board.
After opening at $7, the odds were smashed into $5, which is a good sign.

The trial form is on the board with Lady Moscato, who has looked well above average with two trial wins.
The two-year-old daughter of Home Affairs won by three lengths in her most recent trial win, which is the best form guide for her debut.
She only needs to find cover from a wide draw to put them away.

Each-way value is with Major Beel, who won at Rosehill two back before finishing sixth behind Tavi Time in a tough Group 3.
The six-year-old son of Savabeel gets all favours off the inside draw, and he won’t have to do any work in the run.
Tim Clark is a master judge of pace, so that adds to our confidence.
Stake: 1.5 Units
We were impressed with the win from Jenni the Fox last start at Geelong, and coming to the Gold Coast won’t do her chances any harm.
She hit the line hard to score by 1.8 lengths in listed company, and getting Craig Williams in the saddle is a decent upgrade.
It’s a wide-open field, but she could be the best of them.

Spywire has hit top gear this season, and that was evident by his win at Gold Coast last week.
The four-year-old gelding, who beat home Storm Boy as a youngster, is back to his best, and we’re surprised by the $8 odds.
He was dominant last start, and that form should hold up well at this level.

It was an excellent return to racing for Meridius last time out, scoring at Cranbourne as a $20 chance.
The six-year-old son of Extreme Choice owns four wins and five placings from 19 starts, including two placings at Gold Coast, so having experience here helps.

Gunning for four consecutive wins is Miss Personality, who is a five-time winner from eight starts overall.
The five-year-old mare by Lonhro won her only start at Gold Coast in fine style, and she could keep winning races at this level.
