Gold Rush Tips for Trifecta
Punters should have five runners on their ticket for the Gold Rush trifecta. We recommend taking a boxed percentage trifecta. Spend what you want, and the payouts can be massive.
- Ripcord
- Bustler
- Dom to Shoot
- Comfort Me
- Ayrton

Gold Rush Tips for First-Four
We have included seven runners for our Gold Rush first-four. Boxing all seven selections for a percentage can still result in a huge payout, and you spend what you want.
- Ripcord
- Bustler
- Dom to Shoot
- Comfort Me
- Ayrton
- Valour Road
- Red Can Man

Gold Rush Form Guide & Tips
1. Dom to Shoot (Best Roughie – $12)
He looked good when winning at Group 1 level last time out, which is excellent form. Drawing wide isn’t ideal, but the odds are too good to overlook.
2. Valour Road ($12)
Two wins from three starts this campaign, which is enough to include him in first four calculations. He’s another runner drawn wide, but he just need a touch of luck to take this out.
3. Bustler (Best Each Way – $10)
We enjoyed his win two back and he hit the line well enough in a tough race last time out.
He’s running well enough to win the Gold Rush, and he’s another runner drawn out wide, but it might not matter.
4. Munhamek ($10)
We weren’t impressed with his most recent run, and we think the odds are too short. Damien Oliver rides in the race named after him, but that might not be enough.

5. Red Can Man ($13)
A quality type on his day, and we’re not leaving him out of selections at the double-figure odds. He’s a five-time winner on the track and he’s drawn to get every chance in the run.
6. Massimo ($31)
Not running well enough this preparation to warrant attention in the big race.
7. Comfort Me ($8)
Shorter odds than expected but he had no luck in the Railway when caught wide throughout. He shouldn’t need to worry about being caught wide from barrier three, so include him in selections.
8. Savatoxl ($201)
Form hasn’t come this season, hence the massive odds.
9. Hot Zed ($41)
Mixing its form, but after drawing barrier 19, he would need everything to go his way.
10. Ayrton ($9.50)
Not the most consistent type going around these days, but that was a nice win fresh up. Good enough to beat this field with his best form, and he’s far too good to leave out.
11. Resortman ($34)
Better for the fresh up run but it wasn’t good enough to recommend.
12. Laverrod ($31)
Needs to lift on recent efforts, so we’re not backing him.
13. My Bella Mae ($51)
She needs something a little easier than this. Wait for her to run in something more at her level.
14. Baby Paris ($20)
A two-time winner this prep but not against this level of opposition. $20 is a touch too short for our liking.
15. Karli’s Karma ($41)
Too inconsistent to recommend. A good win two back but only moderate last time out.
16. Ripcord (Best Bet – $6.50)
A lovely run for third in the Winterbottom. That form bodes well and he’s a smart three-year-old in the making.
Lovely each-way odds available for the favourite, so put him on top.
17. Let’s Galahvant ($71)
Running well but he would need to find a few lengths to compete with this field.
18. Super Smirk ($7)
Unsure if she’ll get a run in the race. Chance if she does, but this is a rise in class.
19. Magnificant Andy ($101)
Better suited to racing in easier levels.
