Burleigh is better for recent racing, including back-to-back third placings at Horsham and Ararat.
The three-year-old son of Blue Point wasn’t far behind the winner last time out, and we thought his odds would be shorter.
Take the each-way value from bookmakers.

Looking to run better than his third placing on debut is Dynamite Dancer, who didn’t appreciate the heavy conditions.
The three-year-old son of Pierata is a much better hope in these conditions, and they don’t often need too many runs to win from the Bowman stable.
Money has come for him, so include in picks.
Stake: 1.5 Units
On the Brink hasn’t been too far away at the jumpouts, and it’s good to see money coming for her on race day.
The three-year-old filly by Impending ran second in her latest jumpout at Ararat, and being from the Mitchell Freedman stable helps.
Take the odds before more money comes from her.
Stake: 1 Unit
Kingsford is hoping to cap off four consecutive placings with a win, and the four-year-old gelding is the top pick for this race.
The four-year-old son of Almanzor shouldn’t take much longer to win a race, and getting the inside draw is another bonus.
The $2.60 odds are worth including in multis on Tuesday.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Luckett showed good consistency last preparation when scoring a win and three placings, so something close to that should be good enough.
The five-year-old son of Epaulette has been primed with a trial placing at Caulfield, so that’s an excellent sign for punters.
He gets the inside draw, so we’re backing him to win.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Running at value odds is American Gas, who is enduring a lengthy campaign, but he could bounce back and produce a winning effort.
He scored earlier this preparation at Warrnambool, and although his recent form hasn’t been up to scratch, this isn’t a tough field.
Look for him to settle handy and give a good kick at the top of the straight.
Stake: 1 Unit
Running well this preparation is Jessup, who won at Traralgon before adding placings at Kyneton and Traralgon.
The six-year-old son of Epaulette gets a valuable 3kg off his back, which is needed after being stuck with 62kg from handicappers.
His odds drifted from $3.40, but we’re not concerned.
Stake: 1 Unit
Hughie runs his best races at Hamilton with three starts for a win and a placing, and we’re happy to stick with him.
The six-year-old son of Starcraft will need a touch of luck from a wide draw, but getting 3kg off his weight is a big help.
He’s worth another chance at each-way odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
