Race 1. (21:45) Neptune C5 Handicap (1650m)
#1 – Calling The Shots – Bet Now
Tony Cruz lines up the four-year-old gelding which has been threatening to win over the last few starts.
The son of Exchange Rate ran one length behind the winner at Happy Valley last start and having Joao Moreira in the saddle could make all the difference.
He’s a jockey in form and he could win the first.
Race 2. (22:15) Jupiter C4 Handicap (1000m)
#10 – Happy Good Guys – Bet Now
The four-year-old by Zoustar is nearing a win after consecutive placings coming into this.
He’s a well-bred gelding which has turned around some poor form this season and he could continue in that vein of form.
Punters are getting good each-way odds and Matthew Poon takes some weight off his back.
Race 3. (22:45) Uranus C4 Handicap (1650m)
#4 – Dream Warriors – Bet Now
Dream Warriors is in form after scoring a narrow win at Happy Valley last start and he could continue on with it now.
That was his second win from his last four starts and the son of Smart Missile is a confident runner coming into this.
Karis Teetan takes the ride and he only needs some luck from the tricky barrier draw.
Race 4. (23:15) Venus C3 Handicap (1200m)
#4 – Ballistic King – Bet Now
Ballistic King is running hot this season with three starts for a win and a placing. The five-year-old won on this track two back and wasn’t far away last start.
He ran a close third behind Dancing Fighter and although he rises in weight for this, he is facing an easier field.
Looks a logical win chance.
Race 5. (23:45) Venus C3 Handicap (1200m)
#5 – Highly Proactive – Bet Now
Highly Proactive has had four starts for two wins and two placings. It’s hard to look past that form and he could be competitive here.
The son of Coat’s Choice is a New Zealand import which ran third first-up at Sha Tin and second at Happy Valley last start.
It’s only a matter of time before he wins in Hong Kong and it could come here.
Race 6. (00:15) Saturn C4 Handicap (1200m)
#3 – Happy Alumni – Bet Now
Joao Moreira rides the four-year-old which put the writing on the wall when second last time out at Happy Valley.
The son of Starcraft wasn’t too far away from them last season but couldn’t quite show its best form.
That all changed last start and with the Magic Man in the saddle, he could go to another level now.
Race 7. (00:45) Mars C3 Handicap (1650m)
#7 – Gift of Lifeline – Bet Now
Tony Millard lines up the four-year-old gelding which has been in the money in eight of his 11 career starts.
The son of Pierro scored a half-length win at Sha Tin last start and he should be able to get a nice trip in transit from barrier eight.
Chad Schofield takes the ride and we’re confident of his chances.
Race 8. (01:15) Venus C3 Handicap (1200m)
#6 – Amazing Star – Bet Now
The gelding by Darci Brahma scored impressively by 5.5 lengths last start and he could go on with the job now.
He’s a nicely-bred type which has always threatened to kick on with it, but didn’t do all that much last season.
Form prior and form has been good. Therefore, we’re confident of his chances and Zac Purton takes the ride off the inside draw.
Race 9. (01:50) Mercury C2 Handicap (1200m)
#4 – Big Party – Bet Now
It could be a big party in the last as the well-bred four-year-old is looking to record the win.
The son of Exceed And Excel is a three-time winner from seven starts and there are a few things working in his favour.
Joao Moreira is in the saddle and he jumps from barrier five. That should be enough to see him contest the pace and kick away in the straight.
