Happy Valley horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (22:15) Bowrington C5 Handicap (1200m)
#9 – Show Mission – Bet Now
The seven-year-old might be only a two-race winner, but he put the writing on the wall last start.
He finished a narrow margin behind Lightning Missile and has a chance to turn the tables on his race rival here.
Running at 54kg should help and he’s going to get a good run in transit from barrier six.
Race 2. (22:45) Canal C4 Handicap (1000m)
#8 – Winning Ways – Bet Now
Charlie Shum lines up the six-year-old which has lost his winning ways, but is talented at best.
It has been a long time between drinks for Winning Ways, however, he has scored back-to-back placings coming into this.
Zac Purton in the saddle is going to help his chances and punters should be able to get each-way odds for the son of Lope de Vega.
Race 3. (23:15) Craigengower Cricket Club C4 Handicap (1650m)
#11 – Polymer Luck – Bet Now
It took some time for Polymer Luck to get back in the winners’ enclosure and he could kick on with it now.
The seven-year-old is a three-time winner from 42 starts and although not a great winning clip, he does own 12 placings.
Having recent winning experience on this track helps and there has been good early betting support come his way.
Race 4. (23:45) Percival C4 Handicap (1200m)
#1 – Loriz – Bet Now
Loriz will have to handle being up in weight but getting the 4.5kg apprentice claim off his back certainly helps.
The Yiu-trained four-year-old is coming off a third placing at Happy Valley and that form should stack up nicely this for this run.
He was a winner only four starts back in November and anything close to that performance sees him winning again.
Race 5. (00:15) Wong Nai Chung C4 Handicap (1650m)
#4 – Dor Dor – Bet Now
John Size lines up the four-year-old gelding that is coming off a half-length victory at Happy Valley.
The son of Shamexpress made it two wins from his last three starts and he’s capable of winning again in this grade.
He only rises up 2kg after that win and this field isn’t exceptional, so he could win again and punters should be getting value odds.
Race 6. (00:45) Sports Road C3 Handicap (1200m)
#11 – Relentless Me – Bet Now
Relentless Me was good enough to score consecutive wins at Sha Tin earlier this season. He defeated some nice types and although beaten since, he deserves attention here.
The six-year-old is a five-time winner that wasn’t far behind the winner on this track last start. A repeat of that effort should see him fighting out the finish.
Carrying 54kg is ideal and he should be paying generous odds with bookmakers.
Race 7. (01:15) Russell C3 Handicap (1650m)
#4 – Horsesain Bolt – Bet Now
We love the name of this former European runner that made a good impression when running third at Sha Tin last start.
That was his first run since May of last year, where he won at Curragh before being sold to Hong Kong interests.
He has yet to miss a win or placing from six starts and rising to the 1650m distance is ideal.
Punters won’t miss him in the market and we’re expecting a top performance.
Race 8. (01:50) Sports Road C3 Handicap (1200m)
#4 – Meridian Genius – Bet Now
Meridian Genius is coming off a campaign which saw the four-year-old win two of his three starts.
The son of Unencumbered scored by a half-length at Happy Valley in November and he could make a winning return here.
Joao Moreria takes the ride and he’s going to be tough to beat in the final race on the card.
