Happy Valley horse racing tips & form

Race 1. (21:45) Kennedy C4 Handicap (1200m)

#2 – Fortune Happiness – Bet Now

Fortune Happiness looked good winning three consecutive races before running a competitive placing last start.

The five-year-old gelding won all three races at Sha Tin and although this will be his first try at Happy Valley, he deserves respect.

The jockey will need to work from a wide barrier of 12, but he goes close in this with some luck.

Race 2. (22:15) Morrison Hill C5 Handicap (1650m)

#1 – Blooming Spirit – Bet Now

Frankie Lor lines up the four-year-old gelding that is overdue a winning turn after 12 winless starts.

The son of Spirit of Boom finished a nose behind the winner at Happy Valley two starts back. A repeat effort would see him winning this and he has since run well again.

He gets the inside draw to jump from and that could be enough to see him breaking through.

Race 3. (22:45) Kennedy C4 Handicap (1200m)

#2 – Brave Baby – Bet Now

Looking to bounce back after a disappointing showing last start, Brave Baby could offer punters with value odds.

The Tony Cruz-trained gelding looked good at the end of last season when running second behind Le Terroir.

He hasn’t won since scoring at Sha Tin last February, but he has been taking on good fields.

Worth putting on calculations at the odds.

Race 4. (23:15) Kennedy C4 Handicap (1200m)

#5 – Super Alliances – Bet Now

Super Alliances hasn’t done much wrong in five career starts to date, placing in three.

The John Size-trained runner has recorded back-to-back placings at Happy Valley having raced solely at Sha Tin prior to that.

The three-year-old pushed a nice type close earlier this month and a repeat effort would see him winning this.

He should be well-backed with bookmakers.

Race 5. (23:45) Oi Kwan C4 Handicap (1800m)

#1 – King’s Man – Bet Now

Experience is with King’s Man, which has had 48 starts for five wins and 10 placings.

The seven-year-old scored a quality win two back at Sha Tin and although beaten since, that form stacks up nicely.

He carried 60.5kg when running fifth last start and he drew barrier 12 for that run, so he’s better suited from barrier four.

Nice odds on offer for punters.

Race 6. (00:15) Volunteer’s Challenge Cup (1650m)

#5 – Cinquante Cinq – Bet Now

Despite having not won since March, Cinquante Cinq has been running well enough to go close in this race.

The five-year-old ran a nose behind Reliable Team at Happy Valley two starts back before running on nicely for fifth last start.

He faces a tough field here, but Joao Moreira takes the ride and he carries only 54.5kg on his back.

Worth including in selections.

Race 7. (00:45) Queen’s Road East C3 Handicap (1200m)

#6 – Hardly Swears – Bet Now

Hardly Swears is unbeaten at his last three runs and he’s a live chance to make it four in a row this Wednesday night.

The five-year-old ran ninth on debut but returned from a spell with three consecutive wins. All three came by short margins, but he clearly has the ability.

Kicking off at 1200m is ideal and all eyes will be on him off the inside draw.

Race 8. (01:15) Stubbs C2 Handicap (1200m)

#9 – Amazing Star – Bet Now

Form is with Amazing Star, which has rattled off consecutive wins this season and is every chance of winning again.

The talented son of Darci Brahma scored by 5.5 lengths to open his account this season and followed that up with a 4.5-length romp last start.

He’s a runner on the rise and he only needs luck from the wide barrier to be a force in this race.

Race 9. (01:50) Tin Lok C2 Handicap (1650m)

#8 – Reliable Team – Bet Now

Reliable Team couldn’t quite make it three in a row last start, but punters should continue to follow him.

The four-year-old is a four-time winner from only seven starts and he meets an even field here. He could advantage of that and add to his record.

Punters should be getting each way odds but Joao Moreira riding will shorten the odds come race night.
