Happy Valley horse racing tips

Race 1. (20:45) Yuen Yuen C5 Handicap (1800m)

#2 – Bundle of Energy – Bet Now

Bundle of Energy is getting close to a win after back-to-back second placings. The five-year-old was only 1.3 lengths behind the winner last start and he should continue to improve.

Having Zac Purton in the saddle is ideal and he only needs luck from the tricky barrier draw.

Race 2. (21:15) Tsun Yuen C5 Handicap (1000m)

#6 – La Bomba – Bet Now

The Manfred Man-trained five-year-old has yet to win from 13 starts, but it’s only a matter of time.

He finished 5.5 lengths behind the winner last time out and although some margin behind the winner, it was still a good effort.

The son of Time Thief should be pushing most of these close.

Race 3. (21:45) Tsap Tseung C4 Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Honest Way – Bet Now

Honest Way is an honest customer that owns three wins and six placings from 30 starts. He is coming off a recent third placing at Sha Tin and that form stacks up well for Happy Valley.

It is another good ride for Zac Purton and punters should be able to get each-way odds come race night.

Race 4. (22:15) Tsoi Tak C4 Handicap (1650m)

#5 – Universal Go Go – Bet Now

Universal Go Go is getting closer to a win after consecutive placings. The five-year-old finished only a nose behind the winner at Happy Valley last start and it bodes well for a good run.

The son of Azamour has finished in the money in 11 of his 20 starts and after drawing barrier three, he should be right in the thick of the finish.

Race 5. (22:45) Tsap Tseung C4 Handicap (1200m)

#6 – Kinda Cool – Bet Now

The Frankie Lor-trained gelding has yet to win from three starts and he gets his best chance to break the duck.

A son of Per Incanto, Kinda Cool finished second on debut at Sha Tin before finishing fourth and third in respective outings.

Zac Purton takes the ride and he could be in for a big night.

Race 6. (23:15) Min Fat C3 Handicap (1200m)

#2 – California Rad – Bet Now

Tony Cruz lines up the talented son of Fastnet Rock that owns three wins from four starts this preparation.

The three-year-old scored comfortably by two lengths last start and we’re expecting the form out of that race to hold up nicely.

His best form comes at Happy Valley so consider here.

Race 7. (23:45) Shing Ping C3 Handicap (1650m)

#1 – Bear Again – Bet Now

Bear Again is a two-time winner at Happy Valley and he’s coming off a tidy performance in April.

The five-year-old had only the one run last campaign before being spelled, so he has been kept fresh for this run.

Having Blake Shinn in the saddle should help and punters will get good odds.

Race 8. (00:15) Hawthorn C2 Handicap (1650m)

#6 – Magnificent – Bet Now

Magnificent is a consistent runner that doesn’t win all that often, but is rarely too far away. He won two starts back and followed it up with a second placing.

All three wins have come at Happy Valley and his record also includes five second placings. Carrying 55kg on his back is ideal and his best efforts come over this distance.

1.5kg comes off his back, taking his weight down to 53.5kg.

Race 9. (00:50) Cheong Ming C2 Handicap (1200m)

#4 – Victoriam – Bet Now

Victoriam has made a terrific start to his career with five wins from 13 starts. Two of those wins have come at Happy Valley and we’re confident of another top effort this Wednesday.

The son of I Am Invincible scored a narrow win last time out, making it consecutive wins and we like his chances again.

Look for short odds on race night.
