Happy Valley horse racing tips
Race 1. (20:45) Old Bailey C3 Handicap (2200m)
#3 – Blastoise – Bet Now
The four-year-old has been in good form this season, which includes a win at Happy Valley. He won by a nose in March and his two efforts since have been solid.
Blastoise ran consecutive second placings at Sha Tin and Happy Valley, so his form leading into this race is ideal.
Expect each-way odds on offer from bookmakers.
Race 2. (21:15) Staunton C4 Handicap (1200m)
#6 – All Best Friends – Bet Now
All Best Friends has been mixing his form this season but he’s a nice type on his day. The Manfred Man-trained gelding is an experienced customer that scored by four lengths in February.
He didn’t fire two back but he produced an improved performance for second at Happy Valley last start. It’s a good sign going forward and Karis Teetan takes the ride.
Barrier four is ideal and he should go close.
Race 3. (21:45) Wyndham C4 Handicap (1650m)
#1 – Classic Posh – Bet Now
The David Hall-trained gelding scored a gutsy win at Sha Tin last start and the form out of that race should hold up strongly.
He’s a son of Testa Rossa that keeps the services of Zac Purton and he deserves to be respected in the betting.
Early money has come for the four-year-old and we’re expecting a tidy effort.
Race 4. (22:15) Staunton C4 Handicap (1200m)
#3 – Decisive Twelve – Bet Now
The son of All Too Hard has rattled off three consecutive placings to kick-start his career. He has been running behind some nice types and this is slightly easier.
Drawing barrier 10 isn’t ideal but he’s going to win a race shortly and it could be on Wednesday night.
Watch an improved run from the Australian-bred runner.
Race 5. (22:45) Wyndham C4 Handicap (1650m)
#11 – Humble Steed – Bet Now
Searching for three consecutive victories is Humble Steed, which won at Happy Valley in April before winning at Sha Tin last month.
They were the first two wins of his career and his confidence is well and truly up. It bodes well for another good run and punters are getting juicy odds.
Karis Teetan rides at 52.5kg and that’s a bonus.
Race 6. (23:15) Shelley C4 Handicap (1000m)
#2 – We the South – Bet Now
We the South hails from the John Moore stable and his form has turned around significantly this preparation.
The three-year-old gelding won at Happy Valley in April before going close on this track last time out. It was a good effort and he went close to going back-to-back.
Stick with him and he’ll pay a nice price with bookmakers.
Race 7. (23:45) Cochrane C2 Handicap (1800m)
#7 – Righteous Doctrine – Bet Now
The five-year-old is in career-best form with three wins from his last four starts. He scored by 2.3 lengths earlier this year and a repeat performance sees him winning this race.
He doesn’t have the services of Joao Moreira for this run, but Chad Schofield is riding well and he’s out to each-way odds.
He has been a good bet for punters and there’s no reason to jump off his back.
Race 8. (00:15) Lyndhurst C3 Handicap (1650m)
#3 – Flash Famous – Bet Now
Frankie Lor lines up the five-year-old that has hit form over the last couple of months. The son of Ilovethiscity scored back-to-back wins on this track earlier this season.
His form since has included two placings at Happy Valley and he’s becoming a course specialist with four wins from 13 starts.
Joao Moreira rides and he only needs luck from the draw.
Race 9. (00:50) Graham C3 Handicap (1200m)
#1 – Fantasy – Bet Now
Fantasy is always a good bet and he has made a good start to this career. The Shum-trained runner won consecutive races this campaign before running fifth last start.
The son of Sizzling owns good speed and it’s another good ride for Moreira. He will drive down the starting odds but he’s the man to have in the saddle.
Chance in an even race.
