Happy Valley horse racing tips

Race 1. (22:15) Tsim Mei Fung C5 Handicap (1200m)

#4 – Adonis – Bet @ Sportsbet

Adonis is coming off a third placing at Sha Tin and that form could be enough to see him fighting out the finish on Wednesday.

The Douglas Whyte-trained seven-year-old is a two-time winner and although yet to win at Sha Tin, his recent form has been solid.

Punters are getting good odds to consider.

Race 2. (22:45) Wa Mei Shan C5 Handicap (1650m)

#6 – Shinealot – Bet @ Sportsbet

Shinealot hasn’t shown much in two runs back from a spell but the five-year-old is long overdue a win.

The Paul O’Sullivan-trained gelding was only one length behind the winner fresh up and a similar effort would take him close.

Having Karis Teetan riding is a positive and that could make the difference.

Race 3. (23:15) Shek Uk Shan C3 Handicap (1800m)

#8 – Red Elysees – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Manfred Man-trained gelding is a three-time winner and he has been knocking on the door after consecutive placings.

Both placings came at Happy Valley but he owns a placing at Sha Tin and carrying 52.5kg should make him go close.

Punters are getting each-way odds, which are worth taking.

Race 4. (23:45) Tin Ha Shan C4 Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Gunnar – Bet @ Sportsbet

Gunnar is coming off a tidy season where he finished second at his last two starts. Both runs came at Sha Tin, where he owns three placings from four starts.

The five-year-old has finished in the money in nine of his 17 starts and that record shouldn’t be overlooked.

4.5kg comes off his back and that could be enough to win.

Race 5. (00:15) Tin Ha Shan C4 Handicap (1200m)

#6 – Resolute – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Tony Millard-trained four-year-old is coming off a 1.8-length win at Sha Tin and that form stacks up nicely for this race.

He is a son of Per Incanto that rises in weight but he should be able to handle this level of opposition. Having Karis Teetan in the saddle helps and he has more wins in store.

Punters have backed him solidly throughout the week.

Race 6. (00:45) Tiu Yue Yung C4 Handicap (1650m)

#11 – Double Take – Bet @ Sportsbet

Double Take hasn’t been too far behind them this season and he should be fitter for two runs under his belt.

The four-year-old son of Declaration of War owns a win at Sha Tin, which came at the end of last season. It was a two-length victory and that form bodes well.

53.5kg on his back and that could be enough to see him winning.

Race 7. (01:15) Pyramid Hill C3 Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Silver Fig – Bet @ Sportsbet

Silver Fig is another Millard-trained runner that looks set for a top performance. The six-year-old owns four wins and five placings from 16 starts, so he’s rarely far away.

He is a son of Hard Spun that ran third behind California Concord last start and we’re expecting that form to hold up.

Drawing barrier three is ideal and he should get a dream run from there.

Race 8. (01:50) Hebe Hill C2 Handicap (1650m)

#7 – Alpha Hedge – Bet @ Sportsbet

Alpha Hedge is a four-time winner that isn’t the most consistent performer, but he looked good winning two starts back.

The two-length victory came at Happy Valley and although winless in two starts at Sha Tin, he is due a winning turn.

Value odds are available and they are worth taking.
