We have expert betting tips for the card this Wednesday night at Happy Valley (Hong Kong), which features eight quality betting races.
Action returned to Hong Kong last Sunday and we have expert betting tips for every meeting this season. That includes racing from Sha Tin and here from Happy Valley this Wednesday.
Happy Valley free tips & form
Race 1. (21:15) Shek O Handicap (1650m)
#7 – Dream Warriors – Bet Now
Has shown some ability to date and could resume with a stylish performance here.
The Tony Cruz-trained runner has been taking on some tough fields and was last seen making up big ground when running sixth.
The Australian bred would go close at its best and there has been good money come for it throughout the week.
Race 2. (21:45) South Bay Handicap (1000m)
#5 – Exponents – Bet Now
Australian rider Blake Shinn teams up with Exponents, which put the writing on the wall when second last start.
The Tsui-trained runner came from midfield at Sha Tin to run second by 1.8 lengths behind Fortune Happiness. That form should stack up nicely and his second placing prior to his spell was also good.
Tricky barrier draw of nine but Shinn should be able to find a spot and launch late at Happy Valley.
Race 3. (22:15) Stanley C5 Handicap (1650m)
#3 – Dragon Warrior – Bet Now
Dragon Warrior looked good when scoring consecutive wins last campaign. His recent form hasn’t been as good but that came when rising in grade.
With three months off the track to strengthen up, the Ting-trained runner should be in good order for this and Chad Schofield takes the ride.
There has been good money after drawing barrier three and he should prove tough to beat.
Race 4. (22:50) Big Wave Bay C2 (1650m)
#5 – Green Luck – Bet Now
Caspar Fownes lines up Green Luck, which looked good last season and could resume in winning style at Happy Valley.
The Australian-bred scored a quality win two back and backed that up with solid placings on this track.
Drawing barrier seven looks good for this race and jockey Joao Moreira is a good man to have in the saddle.
Race 5. (23:20) Middle Bay C4 Handicap (1000m)
#3 – Best Smile – Bet Now
Champion jockey Zac Purton partners Best Smile, which ran second on debut at Happy Valley and could resume by going one better here.
The So-trained runner paid big odds on debut but exceeded expectations and it has recently won a trial impressively.
Getting the inside barrier will ensure a good run over this distance and he should be able to kick away on the turn.
Race 6. (23:50) Repulse Bay C4 (1200m)
#11 – Very Sweet Orange – Bet Now
Very Sweet Orange has a good record at Happy Valley after struggling to find its best form at Sha Tin.
The Tsui-trained runner finished last of six runners three back but improved significantly on this track when winning and then running second.
Looks very well-placed from an inside barrier and apprentice rider H Wong will take some weight off its back.
Has been well-backed to win and should run close to favouritism.
Race 7. (00:20) Deep Water Bay C3 Handicap (1650m)
#10 – Perfect To Play – Bet Now
Perfect To Play is a Fownes-trained runner which was a little inconsistent last campaign but scored a good win three back.
That win came on this track when beating Happy Warrior and that form looks to have stacked up well since.
Ran nicely in a recent trial to prepare for this and it should provide punters with some good value late in the card.
Race 8. (00:55) Chun Hom Kok C3 Handicap (1200m)
#4 – Jumbo Happiness – Bet Now
Jumbo Happiness has been knocking on the door of another win and he had only one start last preparation for a second placing.
He has experience on this track when running third last year and anything close to his best should see him going close.
Bookmakers will be offering good odds for Jumbo Happiness and we’re happy to take them.
