We have expert betting tips for the card this Wednesday at Hawkesbury that features seven quality betting races.

Hawkesbury horse racing tips & form

Race 1. (14:00) HRC Motel Maiden Handicap (1100m)

#2 – Aureus Angel @ $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Aureus Angel is a four-year-old mare who just went under on debut at Gosford.

The Edward Cummings-trained mare has plenty of experience at Hawkesbury after placing in two trials, so she won’t be worried about the track.

Drawing barrier three is ideal and she should settle on the pace and be tough to hold out.

Race 2. (14:35) Tab Maiden Plate (1300m)

#9 – Yagoona @ $2.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Yagoona has steadily improved in three starts and the Hawkes-trained gelding looks set to break through.

The three-year-old son of Pride of Dubai finished second behind Prasiolite at Hawkesbury last start, where he fought bravely to the line.

Having Tim Clark in the saddle is a bonus, as he’s a good judge of pace. Expect Yagoona to head forward and go close.

Race 3. (15:10) Sky Racing Maiden (1300m)

#8 – Decisive Move @ $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Decisive Move hasn’t shown her best form yet, but her debut third placing at Wyong is a good sign.

The three-year-old daughter of American Pharoah then ran fourth behind Divina at Canterbury before struggling at Kembla Grange.

She is better than that, so off the inside barrier, she should push forward and be tough to run down in the straight.

Race 4. (15:45) Blakes Marine C1 Handicap (1100m)

#8 – Wardaddy @ $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Wardaddy is drifting in betting markets after opening at $2.40, but the Kris Lees-trained runner has upside.

The son of Panzar Division won on debut at Taree on a heavy surface by 4.3 lengths, so he will enjoy the wet track on Wednesday.

He was then beaten as a $1.55 favourite at Port Macquarie, but he showed fight and we expect that form to stack up nicely. He also gets a valuable 3kg claimer in the saddle.

Race 5. (16:20) Irresistible Pools BM64 (1500m)

#3 – Five Crowns @ $2.45 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Five Crowns is unbeaten after scoring wins at Muswellbrook and Newcastle, and he should be tough to beat again.

The Lees-trained four-year-old son of Sacred Falls is bred to be good, and we love the way he handled the wet track on debut.

Drawing the inside barrier with a 3kg claimer riding helps, so punters should expect him to be fighting out the finish with Dynasties.

Race 6. (16:55) Lander Toyota BM68 (2000m)

#7 – Lord Desanimaux @ $8.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The six-year-old looked good winning at Randwick in the Highway Handicap two back, so that form bodes well.

He then ran seventh when rising in distance, and although he’s rising to 2000m here, he should be right around the mark.

Punters get each-way odds for the son of Dalakhani, and they’re worth taking.

Race 7. (17:30) St John’s Park BM64 (1300m)

#7 – Soarhi @ $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Drawing barrier 13 won’t make it easy for Soarhi, but the Hawkes-trained gelding won nicely on debut.

The son of Testa Rossa scored by a length over I Am Lethal, which has since run well against harder opposition.

His odds have drifted after opening at $3.80, but punters should be confident of another top effort on Wednesday.
